The Khan fans are probably gonna flame Maidana for this, but I actually really like him. He's not bitching, just speaking his mind, not really making excuses or pre-made excuses for his next fight. He comes off as very likable, will be a hard fight to watch with him against another likable fighter and legend, Morales. Don't want either man to lose.

No what's a fact is Khan won a clear UD, in a fight he largely controlled, and Maidana had him rocked in the 10th. People are acting like the 11th and 12th were just repeats of the 10th. They were not. Khan arguably won at least one and maybe both of the last two rounds.

Khan won, but I still think if they ever fight again Maidana could beat him. Don't get dropped early and don't have Joe Cortez in there and it's Maidana's hand going up.

Maidana had Khan out on his feet, but Khan had help from the referee, so I can understand from where he is coming.........

Maidana has guts. Real guts. Clearly hurt from a wicked bodyshot, his intestinal fortitude screamed out to him: "GET UP!!!!" And he did, and came back with a vengeance. He would always be a tough fight for Khan, and who knows, maybe in a rematch he might pull off the victory. Anyone who doesn't think Maidana is a serious contender @ 140 just doesn't understand boxing.

If it's exactly the same fight/fighters I'd agree with you. But a rematch will still favor Khan. He learned from the experience and know what not to do.

Bitter that Cortez took a point off him?

When you throw an elbow at your opponent, you have a point taken off or you're disqualified, simple as that

To do it with his back turned, and to miss Amir and hit Cortez instead, Madina is an idiot

Im a Khan fan and i was happy with the result! Khan clearly won that fight by UD and i was happy Khan took that beating in the 10th as it showed he has the heart of a champion! You have to remember Maidana bangs harder than anybody at 140 and over 80% of the guys at 147 so this was a massive test for khan! IF Khan stuck to the game plan the fight would of looked very different and we can go on about the 10th all day long but if there was another 10 seconds in the first the ref would of stopped the fight then! Khan will unify this division and move to 147 then i have no doubt Maidana will become a world champion! And i hope he does i was really impressed with him in that fight!
