Good point. If Geale beats Sylvester and takes a voluntary after it i think from a financial point of view he makes far more against Mundine than anyone else. There wouldn't be purse bids so Mundine would have to put up some serious coin to get a shot at the title. Also, i think Barker and Macklin may try and bring Geale to England to get a voluntary shot, again he would make huge money from them. Lot of options for him if he wins on May 7th.
Do you think any local, or international, IBF Official would allow for the sanctioning of a Geale vs Mandy II bout?? Especially with a WORLD TITLE attached??? Regardless, Geale has to win the IBF crown, and we all wish for him to do so. Secondly, Mandy does not deserve a top 10 WBF ranking, let alone a top 10 IBF ranking. Credibility should be afforded Credible Titles... Not the highest bidder.
Medhi Bouadla certainly didn't deserve a ranking yet he miraculously appeared at number 14 in the IBF rankings late last year. Shortly after Sylvester announced a voluntary defence against him only to pull out through injury. All im saying is that the IBF are not squeaky clean either. Their rankings are as bogus as the other 3 governing bodies.
