Of course you can compare them. It's still hating someone or a group of people because of something, just like you would skin colour or sexuality. I don't see why racism should be put on a pedestal, so to speak..... whereas many other forms of hatred or dislike are generally ignored or disregarded to a degree. Of course hating all Muslims because of some nutcases is simplistic, and as I've said I don't condone it. But branding everyone that is racist or has prejudices as ****s automatically is equally so. There may be a reasoning behind it, however flawed.
