tzsyu. castillo, mallignaggi, collazzo, urango is not a rediculously thin resume. he's not an atg but he should be respected for a very good career.

He was so overrated at one point that now hes underrated.

This and the other way around has happened to countless fighters before.

I really hope English is not your first language.

Us keyboard warriors cannot sit here and criticise Hatton's lifestyle, he was a good world champion, those who were saying he was a bum are idiots. He came into the ring ripped and always seemed fit. It's possible that he may've lasted a bit longer vrs Pac and maybe even the distance with May but either way he still gets easily beaten regardless of how he lived in between fights.

It just wasn't that big a deal in the end. If anything it probably did him the world of good, he got out of boxing early becuase of it and has avoided fighting into later, slower years.

He would lose and did lose to any of the greats in the division. He was good but really was never going to be a superstar in the world scene. His brother has more depth to his style.

I ****ing despise this. Usually people are underrated, but everyone starts to take notice. Then just because lots of people have taken notice of this underrated fighter, people decide that they must be overrated. ****ing dicks trying to be 'origional' by disagreeing with majorities. It's whats happening to Saul Alvarez

    Mallignaggo,Urango,Lazcano,Collazo all top ranked fighters.

Tszyu still held the title so how shot could he have been? He was on a 14 fight unbeaten run,and he was undisputed champ for all intents and purposes considering he never lost his other belts in the ring.
Castillo had knocked out Corrales a year and a half before the Hatton fight. How shot could he have been?

In my opinion Ricky was a good fighter and I think as a man he is a legend but I think his huge fan base helped him skip a few fights however (im not saying he ducked anyone) I just mean he there was possibly a few fights there for him before he took on the a+ (Floyd and Pac-man)opponents the likes of Zab Judah, Miguel Cotto but Golden Boy saw him and his entourage of fans as a dream for a huge payday and got him the Mayweather fight maybe 1 or 2 fights early....at the same time he had fought alot of fights and was getting on so maybe he fought Mayweather at the right time in his career, also with the matter of him becoming so overweight between fights my opinion on that is that I would say it was Rickys skill-set and fighting style that were his biggest faults and not his conditioning

He was a great fighter and he pushed Mayweather all the way, he rocked Mayweather in round 4 and he was forced to look for a KO after the the point deduction which made him change the game plan

Malignaggi may be a feather-fisted, but he's no bum..
Castillo was shot when Hatton beat him, but he wasn't no bum before..
Tszyu was fading when he fought Hatton, but he still wasn't no bum..
Collazo who almost defeated Hatton, is also no bum..
Most of all, Ricky Hatton was no bum..
You my friend, are a bum..

Glass Jawed Ricky "Hit and Hold" Hatton. He benefited a lot from hometown fights and crooked referee's/judges.

Honestly, people talk about Ricky Hatton like he is a bum because we are on the internet. You don't have to make sense or be logical on here!
