Why japaneses boxers dont come to US?

They probably make a decent living in their own region and dont want to risk travelling and fighting abroad and all the potential problems and pitfalls that brings, sometimes its just cosy at home

A big unification fight may change some of their minds with a nice paycheck on the end as a carrot

They sell out at home and have strong TV backing, so they stay home for the very same reason Americans or Germans do. They usually win the purse bids because they have stronger financial background, and that means more money to the challengers too, so you don't see them complaining.

Regarding the boxers, for the Japanese it doesn't make a damn difference, Nishioka went to Mexico and still knocked Gonzalez out (God I hope Jhonny doesn't get revenge), Tomoki Kameda lives and trains in Mexico plus there was a strong possibility of the April 8 Hasegawa-Nishioka-Ao card to be held there, just the Mexicans couldn't come up with the money. So traveling is no problem for them and you bet Hasegawa would love to fight Gamboa on HBO, but it's not up to him. Japanese ratings **** all over American, so HBO would have to put up a lot of money or Hasegawa would have to give up most of his purse to fight in an empty arena - the Japanese boxing scene is simply healthier, so he stays home.

Hasegawa-Gamboa - damn what a fight, but also a heartbreaker, I love both fighters. But hey, it's boxing, so I hope either HBO or Japanese TV puts down the money and it gets done. IF Hozumi gets past Gonzalez and that is a big if.
