I would not say it was a valid opinion. The "Fab Four" are greater, all four have great legacies and resumes. Now I'm not trying to underrate Hamed here, but in terms of boxing history...he didn't have the longevity to hang with those four guys. Different levels, even though Hamed accomplished some good/great things in his career...and I enjoyed watching him.

I agree when you say, on his day, he was more than good enough to share the ring with those four guys...but I'd assume that you see him winning more than I do in those match-ups.

    Not a good comparison.

Gamboa has shown nothing yet that would put him alongside the likes of Barrera.

    i agree
neither Hamed did show anything like he could beat a top fighter before fighting Barrera, wich was the only top he fought on his prime.

I like Gamboa and can't stand Hamed.

But I think Hamed wins this. Yes we know Hamed is going to get hit, but his chin is ****ing solid. One of the best of his generation.

We can't say that about Gamboa (though I think some people are exaggerating a bit about it). Gamboa also is green and has never faced a fighter like Hamed. He will get hit.

The difference is Naz will stay standing and punching while Gamboa will back up. And stylistically, playing pot shotter vs Hamed is the worst thing you can do. MAB beat him by constant short range pressure.

    Vs Fab Four

Gamboa loses to all of them. Maybe in 1-2 years he might be able to beat MAB (the most vulnerable to speed punchers).

No, it's not a valid opinion. It's clear that Naz isn't on the same level as though four especially since he got beaten easily by arguably the weakest of them.

I'm not saying Gamboa wins or not...would have been a heck of a fight... but saying that hamed will separate gamboa's head from his body its beyond out of line.
i say hamed depended more of a single punch, gamboa is faster...and we havent seen the best of gamboa yet.

How many times Naz got KD, all legit? exactly, I had seen Naz doing the chicken dance, never Gamboa and if a much slower and less powerful Barrera did what he did to the Prince, I just can imagine what Gamboa would do to this overrated boxer, it will not b competitive

This post seems to be implying that Gamboa isn't only too hot for Hamed but also a peak MAB. Tell me I'm jumping the gun, G?

This is about an hypothetic match up, Gamboa vs Naz, but we had to compare and the only elite fighter naz fought was Barrera and he make him look like a kid, we tend to give the benefit of the doubt to old timers and in some cases they are valid point for that, but if I'll have to bet in a fight Gamboa vs Barrera I'll put my money on Gamboa, just because what Jr Jones did to Barrera, and Jr was not as fast and powerful as Gamboa is, but Barrera was bother by the speed and accuracy of Jones, so you can jump the gun now.

Time will tell what kind of fighter Gamboa is, for now he is one of the best in the FW division, in 4 or 5 years when his career is winding down we could discuss again, I don't have agree with any one to have an opinion and vice versa.

I won't jump the gun, I don't feel the need to.

Your reasoning for favouring Gamboa against a Featherweight MAB is because Marco was stopped by Jones at 122lbs as a 22 year old. Nevermind that Gamboa has already been knocked down multiple times in a short career against low level opponents, and his most notable victory has came against a past his best Jorge Solis.

Just some advice really. Either watch more MAB or watch more Gamboa, one of the two.
