Of course he could be. Any boxer could be, and some are.

I've never really suspected Hopkins, but his amazing longevity is obviously enough for some people to get suspicious.

I think what this whole thing highlights is just what evil little ****s the Mayweathers are. I posted back when their whole bull**** with Pacman began that one of the worst things they had done was set a nasty precedent of absolute bull****.

This crap is their legacy to the sport. Time for them all to **** off and die.

Well, let's be honest here. The poll gives an option for could be and ain't. It's impossible for any of us to know he's not but logically, any fighter "could be". Sort of a silly poll really.

 

I know, it was more pessimism than anything, but I think anyone saying anything of the sort before Pascal brought it up would have received a lot more heat from other posters than now.

 

I think Hopkins is clean.Mayweather has got everyone bitching about drug tests.If Hopkins takes the tests the authorities tell him to then that should be the end of it.Pascal should not be able to demand more tests.

 

+1, though, a majority of boxing fans are typically a bunch of meat heads that can't think critically.

 

Could he be juicing? Yes any fighter could be juicing including Pascal and Mayweather.

But I highly doubt BHOP is on anything illegal. The man does everything to look after his body. He follows a strict diet, trains constantly, even on christmas day and doesn't drink alcohol, does he really sound like a person who would risk his health and take PEDS?

The Mayweathers legacy will be a negative one, as they have created an unsavoury trend in boxing to doubt any fighters legitmacy. PED accusations are spreading in the sport without foundation as it is simply being used to either play with an opponents mind or tarnish a fighters achievements. If Pascal is serious with his accusations and demands the test then I fear he is in denial about the 1st fight and is trying to justify how a man in his mid 40's was able to outbox him for the majority of the fight.

Whats next? Will boxers now ask their opponents for hair follicule tests to ensure they have never taken drugs of any kind and get past fights turned into No contests if tests come back positive, to damage their records as an aid in negoiations? This **** is getting ridiculous, either the commissions need to enforce olympic style drug testing or boxers need to shut the **** up and change the system through the appropriate means without running their mouths off and getting themselves involved in court cases like Mayweather.

Obviously, people who were PED finger pointing junkies would've always illuminated Bhop as a potential PED user. Those people were ass holes. They still are. It's just now they have the Mayweather clan to "lend credence" to their claims. :roll:

However, that fraction of the general populace, and the specific sports/boxing community was a lot smaller than that of which it would have been, had a counter-factual situation occurred in which less media attention was given to the possibility of PED use (1) and if certain athletes didn't begin making arbitrary accusations of others (2). The latter is more pertinent here, so let's stick with that. That said, how many people do you know where questioning Bernard Hopkins' potential PED use prior to the whole PED bonanza that struck boxing as it has? Prior to this thread? Did you personally have suspicion before, and it was grounded in anything? Did you simply open this thread, and, before thinking critically, just decide to try and pass off your poor claim as a legitimate statement?

Voted yes only because of the way you worded the question. Do I think he's on steroids? No. Do I think he could be on steroids? Of course.

I'd answer yes regardless of who you asked this question about.
