Khan will control the fight with his jab for as long as he needs to. This will mean McCloskey won't be able to outbox him (usually McCloskey's best chance of winning). If Khan goes hell for leather early on because he doesn't fear McCloskey's power, McCloskey could be stopped in the opening few rounds. Maidana has 20 times more power and if he couldn't stop Khan, McCloskey definitely won't be able to.

All in all I can't visualise any possible scenario whereby Khan doesn't win.

Your calling an unbeaten British and european champion a bum....

Fair enough, have your opinion and say he wont win but a bum he most certainly isnt...

Khan has a little too much speed and skill for him, unfortunately. But he's got decent power, a puncher's chance.

Hes not a bum but he will out of depth in this one and he'l discover within 3 rounds that this job is too big for him.

It will be one sided after the 3rd and over by the 6th

I was just watching some video's of his fights.

He doesn't have the style to beat Khan, in my opinion. You need a hell of a lot of pressure to beat Khan, and McCloskey isn't that fighter. He times and counters. Amir won't sit in the pocket with his gloves high doing nothing in the middle of the ring like Barry Morrison.

The 1-2 will be the crucial punch. It's more of a test on whether McCloskey can deal with the speed and power of Amir, and I personally don't think he can.

Amir's going to be too sharp, too quick and just too powerful. In Freddie Roach's words, he'll 'overwhelm him'.

I hope it's a good fight, though. McCloskey seems like a decent lad.

I love McCloskey's style and have been a big fan of his for years. Paul is an excellent fighter but probably between 11-20 in the world rather than top 10 material. Khan is ridiculously talented and should win this but McCloskey is awkward and punches from strange angles with power. McCloskey's greatest asset is his exquiste TIMING. It's the best I've seen in a British fighter since Hamed

He's an unbeaten douchbag who is going to get his ass handed to him by Khan, saying this I am still putting some money on him winning. Impossible is nothing.

Why do you think he's a douchbag?

Pretty much agree with Laz, here. The decision to stand and box will afford Khan the freedom to use his long reach, speed and power to full effect. As we saw in the Malignaggi fight, he looks good when he's not being rushed.

However, Khan's below average chin means a well-timed counter from Paul is enough to throw all of that out of the window.

I asked the same question in another thread and they told me he's left handed. I'll still think he's right handed until I see more official sources confirming the opposite.
