    From the Scene.

"Everybody can get impatient, but the problem is money. Once you get money people will become less impatient. Because I would do that fight in two seconds if a network stepped up to the plate and paid the the right amount of money, like $3million.

What these two fighters need is to get paid the same money that would get paid to guys who weighed more, like Pascal and Hopkins or like Bradley and Alexander. If a network would pay that kind of money for Gamboa vs Lopez then I would do it in tow minute. But they won't because there is prejudice agaisnt smaller weighiing fighters. They beleive that they should fight for less money.

So my alternative is to do it myself, and build them so that I can put them on PPV. But as a PPV attraction they are not ready. Thats it in a nutshell. Its simply all about money"

to be fair to the Bobfather he has a point. HBO paid $3.5million for Alexander vs Braldey as well as a £2million & $1million guarenteed fight to the winner and loser respectivley. Hopkins vs Pascal they have paid $4mil and guarenteed 2 more fight to Hopkins if he wins.

In that respect $3mil for Lopez vs Gamboa is not to much to ask.

So boxing is about money? Thanks Bob.

Make the fight you senile old ****. A fight of the year war would do wonders for both, making the winner a superstar. The loser would have just as much attention on him, "can he come back, how much did the fight take out of him" etc. Both are warriors and both would handle defeat by knocking out their next opponent and then maybe going after John.

Or better yet, have a fight of the year, then do a part 2. That would make even more.

Do it now while both are peaking and while both can still come back from defeat.

He's got a point if HBO paid that much for Alexander/Bradley. It seemed to me like they were fighting in a Morgue. There is a lot of talk about events at the moment, and that event was pathetic and a damn right shame considering the participants. If its dead in the arena it doesn't say to me it sells that well either or the viewing figures were particularly great.

Juanma has a very good following of Puerto Ricans working in his favor. Hopefully somebody will step up and pay a respectful amount for a tremendous fight.

Hold the fight in Puerto Rico or Cuba then. Or neutral ground at the Azteca in Mexico.

The security detail would be fun.
