Yep. I am a good athlete, but not a "Great" freakish athlete like those men. Buchanan was not overly athletic like those men(he was good athletically) but made up for it with incredible technique, timing, and poise.

I am going to be honest...Ken Buchanan has turned into one of my favorite fighters on film. He is vastly underrated.

I only wish I could be a badass like him. After watching him vs Vernon Forrest, I thought he was invincible. I said to myself "This guy can't be hurt, and you cannot take his punches".

He was such good fun at that time.

I would like to see him fight Alvarez, then hang them up if he loses that one.

Buchanan I've always rated exceptionally high..i personally think he's arguably the greatest fighter that Great Britain has ever produced...despite the brevity of his reign...though Mcgrain and GP might disagree and rightfully so.
The style I would choose would be defensive based and with the sound fundamentals..and not an especially athletic style. I'd bore the hell out of 'em with the jab and defensive, strategic stuff ideally...being realistic about my own limitations. The guys like Sammy Angott and Maxie Rosenbloom..spoilers...also come to mind.

He's obviously not the greatest fighter Britain has ever produced. He might be the out-and-out best though.

Well I realized I was partially lying to benefit myself..so I guilt tripped myself into being honest. Saying 5'10 instead of 5'9 made me feel better about myself :rofl I have never measured more than 5'9 1/2

Same here, 5'8, 5'9 to those who can't judge heights:lol:

On topic I honestly couldn't say. 5'8 165. In my am days my defence wasn't much, stamina so-so but I could take a shot (never buzzed once including sparring with lhws) and hit bloody hard and winged my shots a bit.

    Mayorga maybe?

I know styles make fights and all, but Buchanan certainly handled alcoholism better.

Since I'm between them in height and have the same build, either of the Klitschko brothers.

Well maybe that's what I mean then. Maybe I should research Benny Lynch..I'm not that familiar with him.
