Well, there's one difference between it and a forum post like the one above. I've checked it for things like spelling and grammar so it's reasonably accurate in that sense. You, quite literally, can't even ****ing spell journalism. Yet somehow you think you have the authority to nominate the worst article of the week?

Do me a ****ing favour. Stephen Hawking will be telling Asamoah Gyan how to ghost into the six-yard box next.

It's not the best written article of the week; I doubt very much whether it's the worst either. Kevin posts on BoxRec forums a lot and that is where he's seen the moaning to which he refers. I thought you would like that bit, given your dislike of the site.

And, of course, the whole thrust of the article is that people on forums moan like ****. I think most people would agree with that general point, if not the rest of the piece.

    Hello Guys

I am the aforementioned Kevin and writer of the 'worst piece of the week'.

Firstly, when writing the piece I was aware that it would not be to everyone's tastes and it would appear thats the case!

I stand by the sentiment 100% but in hindsight would maybe tone it down a shade, but on the whole I stand by it.

Listen, I have never claimed to be a journo, some people like Ian McNeilly can rightfully call themselves that. I am a fan who has the opportunity to write about something I love and I am happy that for the most part my pieces seemed to have been met with decent feedback.

This is not a bigging up exercise, but I have written over 30 pieces now for 2 respected Boxing sites, have written numerous football blogs for a well known red top newspaper and have covered live Boxing (including a World Title fight) with never even a hint of negativity like that has been experienced on here.

Whilst I am aware of how lucky I am to get these opportunities I am also not going to be timid in my writing and if I feel a certain way I will write about it.

Rob - I dont want to turn this into a tit for tat argument, I have little time for those but I need to pull you up on what you say about 'no-one has moaned about Coldwell's purse bid'. See below:

"Can any one explain to me a possible motive behind hayemaker lodging two different purse bids. My initial thought was that they could then pull the top bid if they found their other bid was higher than FW. However have read the T&Cs it appears were the £400K bid to be withdrawn then it would go..."

    Recognise that????

Anyway, chaps I have had my say, feel free to criticise my piece, I have a thick skin, but lets try and be constructive ok??

    Thanks for your time

fair doos, i might have overreacted by calling you a ******.

although you do then qualify yourself by mentioning you have written a sports blog for a tabloid newspaper, IMO not something you should ever boast about. The tabloid's coverage of anything, including sport is just heinous

Rob loves Groves and probably has posters of Groves on his bedroom walls, he would have not liked your Degale in 4 prediction. See what happens:lol:

Not going to get into the spelling arguement as I know I can't for ****. Goverment education let me down. I am doing ok though.

I don't quite understand what your getting at with the hawking/gyan comment. should a bozing fans who reads boxrec news not be able to be critical of an article?

Lol yeh I thought nobody moaned on boxrec.
