Jean went about it all wrong. But as far as the last paragraph. If he took the best testing we have I don't think anyone would question him again.

It is completely idiotic to simply "assume" any professional athlete isn't on PED's, it becomes even more idiotic, when you see someone doing things that few if any, men (from a shear physical standpoint) have ever done before. A 45 year old man, peak physical condition, still competing at the "Elite" level in his field, is someone that I would at least suspect COULD be doping, it doesn't mean they are, but it's possible. It's pretty obvious if you are paying attention that this is happening regularly in sports and it's something that is serious and requires legitimate attention. 100% possible.

Like Reppin just said, it's naive to assume any high level athlete is 100% clean, period. And with Hopkins, there are some red flags...but he'd hardly be unique if he were on something. That's just the way the sports landscape has been for decades now, and it's not changing now. No fan should be shocked when any high level (or even low level college) athlete is on something.

The way I see it, testing money is really just a synonym for an advertising budget. It's failed miserably in deterring PED use (at most, all it does is affect which substances get used). Testing is there so fans can believe their sports are clean, and/or to give the appearance that the sports themselves view PED use as a problem that must be eliminated. Both are false, because fans pay more for superhuman performance and the sports themselves profit from PED use because of this.

There's no way to know unless he takes the tests. The same as Pacquiao. I had never really suspected him before, but then again I didn't suspect Pacquiao. We'll see how Bernard reacts. If he bitches out like Pac making up excuses, then it will only serve to further the suspicion.

I beg to differ.......Hopkins is a money fight for Pascal, only a potential Chad Dawson rematch could make Pascal more money.

Pascal risks his biggest payday by demanding blood testing beforehand. In fact he likely would have thrown the Hopkins fight away had Pascal voiced it during the contract negotiations.
Hopkins wont accept the PED testing now, and he would'nt have then.

Pascal did the absolute correct thing in embarrassing Hopkins during a press conference and asking him to man up and take a blood test.

The difference here between Pascal and Mayweather is that Pascal is going into this with the mindset that he'll fight Hopkins with or without the tests.

I'm sure if Hopkins really wants it, i believe one day he *could* be on PEDS.

But seriously, this is all about getting hype with Pascal trying to be a bad boy.

In case you guys don't remember Pascal's little show on Jan 2008 (after he won a lacluster UD on Pittman and Miranda KO'd Banks in 3 the same night), here it is at 1:45 : [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1PZ8r5wnPQ[/ame]

He looks like a punk if you ask me, but I'm sure Pascal couldn't care less about PED testing or if we think he's over the top/trash. He beat Dawson last year and he's gonna get his millions this May. More pre fight coverage = more money, that's it.

As others have said, Pascal couldn't give too shits about the testing, but it certainly ****ed up Hopkins mindset like no other time I've seen.

Pascal got into old Popkins' head, like he himself has tried to do many times before with his opponents. Either that, or Pascal is using reverse psychology and actually needed to rile Hopkins to get in a WAR mindset himself.

You could be right but there will always be those who doubt him where he shouldn't ever had been under suspicion. Most will believe Nard is clean if he ended up taking the test and passed it.

But what if Nard loses? The door is wide the **** open for the rumors to Jean spread to create all new life. They'll say Nard was or has been dirty and b/c he lost, that proves Nard has always been a cheat.

That's the problem with men who act like bitches...not that Jean is a *****...but he sure as hell played the **** out of one at the press confernce.

I see the situation for what it is. Anyone can be doping in boxing and there are probably some who are guilty, but those who have been caught in the past have been caught under the regular testing protocol. To have grown men start singling out opponents who they are looking to fight or suppose to fight and throwing dirt on their name is bogus. Nard could be doping...so could Jean, but more than likely they aren't and no tests are gonna prove or disprove it.

It simple Hopkins should just take the test... His anger in the press conference did not help him at all, Pascal questioning got to him...

I don't know but he is pulling a Barry Bonds. What I mean is that he is still performing great at an old age. I doubt he is on steroids though. He is not KO people left and right. Its all in the genes.
