So pretty much the difference you see is Pascal couldn't financially afford to lose the fight by making it a contract item while Mayweather could? :huh

Or do you just see it as Pascal doesn't care if he's on PEDS and will fight him regardless, but would like him to test just in case?

Why shouldn't he be under suspicion though? Because he's been boxing at a high level for years? He could have been taking PEDS this whole time...

I agree that if he took them passed them and beat Pascal most wouldn't doubt him anymore. And if he took them passed them and got his ass whopped in the fight I think it's reasonable to question what happened. I think any intelligent fan would look at the two fights and see what the difference was with Bernard. If he fought the same but Pascal was just better, that's the end of it. If he for some reason looked nothing like he did in the first fight, it should be questioned. Doesn't mean he was on PEDS and couldn't take them this fight, but I think it should raise questions. Then of course you have your trolls who would say he was definitely on PEDS if he lost, despite how the fight looked. Just ignore them. :yep

Don't think anyone is accusing him of taking steroids, for those saying he shows no signs of increased power and strength. More likely fighters like Hopkins and Mosley, who've shown quite varied levels of stamina from fight to fight, are doing EPO/blood doping:

"Blood doping is the process of artificially increasing the amount of red blood cells in the body in an attempt to improve athletic performance. In the past this was accomplished by transfusion. The athlete would “donate” a unit of blood into storage and then 3 weeks later, after the body had completely replaced the blood loss, transfuse the unit back into the body. This would occur just before a big race, effectively giving the athlete an “extra” unit of blood. This enables performance improvements in endurance sports because of the extra oxygen carrying capacity."

Figures, over 50%, at this point, feel Hopkins does not use PED's. How naive...#
    FyI, they ALL USE PED'S!!!

The dearth of education and knowledge regarding the subject of PED's is nothing short of alarming or hilarious, depends on your life's outlook.

46 and going from gassed and falling about one fight to to lasting 12 rounds and going strong... Very possible candidate for EPO use, or whatever other drug cocktail pro-cyclists use.

No it is only part of it. PED's increase your vision, stamina, strength, etc. I just named one that is the most known. Pertaining to Hopkins, that would be the only thing you would notice. He isn't getting faster, his stamina has always been the same, and he hasn't grown huge over the years.

What's naive to me isn't necessarily to think he doesn't use them, it's people saying there's NO WAY he uses them. Why would people be so sure that a professional athlete on the highest level of the sport doesn't take something to get an edge? Because based on interviews, he doesn't SEEM like the type?

"He doesn't knock guys out silly"

Oh that Frans Botha was a real heavyweight Julian Jackson, huh?

"He works really hard and has great training habits"

Yeah, Barry Bonds and Shane Mosley were real coach potatoes and didn't train hard at their craft.

They are performance ENHANCING drugs, not "take this and you rise up 100 levels". Otherwise, you wouldn't see Fernando Vargas getting knocked out by Oscar De La Hoya, or James Toney fight Danny Batchedler in a fight that made Klitschko-Ibragimov look like Cotto-Torres. Both James and Danny turned up dirty and they both fought like cow ****.

Maybe people believe Floyd's junk about it turning ordinary fighters to extraordinary fighters. Why yes, that "ordinary" Manny Pacquiao who was a 3 division champion before the age of 25.

To the dumb dumbs who want to believe Hopkins is on something. Look at some vintage Archie Moore fights or George foreman fights, they were around the same age. B-Hop is just a rare, elite fighter who ages like fine wine.

Probably. but that's only speculative. Bhop's even older than Dana Torres who got silver at Bejing.
