Hopkins wont take PED blood tests!

So, what do you proposed to do for the current state of boxing, man? It wouldn't be fair to others if you will only test a select few to be tested right? if you are to clean up the sport as you suggests, you have to test all the active pro fighters all year round JUST to make sure no one cheats. That means a lot of $$$ for the cost of testing, who will shoulder it? promoters? commissions? fighters? i dont think they can afford that, if they can, we would have seen all GBP fighters do OSDT test on all their fights, eh?

Commissions' testing might be outdated but it's still effective and they're doing their best to make it better, so why not let these guys do their job and let's stop pretend to be experts on what is best or not because if there's somebody out there who knows very well what to do, it would be them.

If I were Floyd and jean, i would just fight like I normally do in previous fights confidently without hesitation and let the commission do their thing, afterall, they are PRO boxers not Olympic fighters no more.

 

I feel like Pascal is catching a similar kind of opprobrium anyway today. "He's already getting his excuses ready!" "He's just mad because a grandpa kicked his ass!" etc. By making a pre-contract demand rather than a pre-fight request (because that's all this really amounts to) Pascal could have forced Hopkins' hand himself. I believe he would have received backlash no matter when the request was made, but he would also be far less reliant on public opinion and the media in such a case. I also must reemphasize that Pascal's decision to fight Hopkins regardless of whether he goes through testing or not demonstrates a desire to make money, not to clean up the sport.

 

The reason why Pascal is asking for tests is because he can't believe how an old man would kick his ass so bad in the last fight.

The reason why Mayweather is asking for tests is because he can't believe how Pacquiao did what he managed to do.

I don't blame either Pac nor Hopkins for refusing demands of obviously jealous and bitter foes. No one sane in THAT POSITION(Professional boxing) as competitors would, as forum posters sure it's fine, you can take all the tests you are asked for. Just be logical, grow up for a second or read this again when you do literally grow up, and don't position Hopkins or Pacquiao in your position.

You do realize... that these organizations are money whores, right? Funding for OSDT won't come from nowhere. If the organizations pay for it, they'll appraise it as being more expensive than it is "within an acceptable variance". They will then proceed to pass on the costs to the boxers involved and/or the audience. Joy!!!!! :!:

 

I simply don't think Pascal would be able to tell anyone anything in such a situation; he certainly is not a person who's attempting "to do anything about it." Doing something about it requires a bit more than merely associating PEDs with an opponent you have every intention of facing anyway; I belive that demanding blood testing as a condition for the fight would be one such effort. I realize we disagree on the likely outcomes of such a demand, but for me at least, that would be an example of a fighter actually doing something about perceived PED use, rather than engaging in mere rhetoric. This is why I suggested earlier that Mayweather appeared far more principled to me than Pascal.

My view then is that actions speak louder than words, and given the fact that Pascal has not really undertaken any action to curb PED use, I am not the least bit inclined to praise him in this instance. Some may laud him for merely broaching the subject, but I've seen nothing to undermine the competing hypothesis that this was done merely for the sake of promotion and mindgames.

Hopkins should take a **** on the officials and the USDA. He got robbed against Taylor like no other champion, had his 20 defenses of the MW title robbed from him and the Pascal decision was a joke. Hopkins don't have to take any ****in test except to check his heart is human. Bhop = ATG LEGEND

I've asked the TS 2 times why Pascal is now demanding a PED blood testing when in fact he fought Hopkins the first time without that testing. The TS can't give me a straight answer which I think is the one you mentioned (highlighted) above.
