    Kevbo first off big respect for coming on here and responding.

    For me there is a major difference between an article and a blogg. What you have been posting on the boxrec news sites in this piece and presiously is a blogg. Theres nothing wrong with that, I just think you should make it glaringly obvious that its a blogg. Allot of people do not want to read bloggs, as its just someone sharing there opinion and you cannot respond to it. (no comments section on your page, if there had been i would not have made this post)

    the tone of the article is boxing fans are fickle and stupid. i suggest your speaking to the wrong fans by posting on boxrec and you should move over to eastside to expirience a more intelligent debate.

    i recognise the comment and you may notice that a certain intelligent poster responded with an answer that could well be correct directly after.

    Ha ha! It is 'blog style' in that it is an opinion piece, yes. We don't run many of them. But newspapers and magazines carried (and still carry) pieces of this nature, every day. Warren has one every week, as you know.

    yes but warren's is(allegedly) farcical, it is hilarious and follows a well known formula:

    Paragraph 1: Big up latest fighter/next big FW fight
    Paragraph 2: More of the same
    Paragraph 3: Have a pop at Haye, Froch, slagging them or someone else who wouldn't sign with him
    Paragraph 4: Try and be humorous with a little boxing-related pun

    I know. Take this as posative critic now....make it obvious its a blogg. Call its 4 rounds with Kevin a weekly boxing blogg. at the moment its a guy randomly having a go out everyone and saying what he thinks so its just a forum post on a news site.

    to be fair to warren recenty he has been commenting on allot of figths from elsewhere...what happens when you do 3 shows a year.

    In honesty I enjoyed the article and am guilty of moaning myself sometimes, it's hardly on the dog **** level of boxing news 24, that place is an absolute joke.

    Paragraph 1: Tell the boxer you've always been a big fan of his
    Paragraph 2: Feign genuine concern over an aspect of his career
    Paragraphs 3,4 and 5: Lay into him with ill concealed vitriol and hatred using personal attacks
    Paragragh 6: Sign of by wishing him all the best and telling him you hope he follows your well intentioned advice.

    Rob, I know you don't accept correction easily but you're showing yourself up here, IMO.

    It's an opinion piece.

    This is a blog:

    "A blog (a blend of the term web log) is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary.
    Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.

    A 'blog' is not an individual piece but the website itself. Kevin's is an opinion piece which is a bit similar to a 'blog entry', I'll give you that. Even with that accepted, opinion pieces of this type still have a home on BoxRec News - we've done loads of them in the past.

    Do you understand that the fact I have to make these very simple distinctions for you rather undermines the authority you seem to give yourself in this regard?

    I agree opinion pieces and bloggs have there place on your site. It should just be made clear. Give kevbo a monthly blogg to share his opinion otherwise it just looks like a mindless rant coming every now and then. 5 or 6 other people came on and agreed it was poor. We are all hardcore boxing fans (your audience) if you don't want to listen to me listen to them. It was crap!

    In fairness, Rob is always open to changing his opinions.

    Just look at how he yo-yo'd on David Haye, his opinion changes constantly.

    I'm sure there are other examples of this.
