you no what else. theres to many fights on a card. no more than 6 fights should be on a boxing bill. nobody wants to watch 5 hours of boxing!!!

everyone takes the **** when a band plays in a german ring...guess what theres 20,000 in that arena and 10million watching on tv and they will come back for more.

i agree with the 6 fight's , if u have loads and loads of fights they say your getting your money worths but its not about the quantity its about the quality of the fights and having a good night..

and if u want people to stay on there seats through most of the night then 6 fights is enough, if u have alot more fights then people will go for a walk about knowing there's loads of fights still to go so dont matter if they miss afew.

Boxing has a humongous list of problems that start from the bottom right through to the top and to be frank if we went in to detail on each of them we would could be kept going for days.

My biggest pet hate with British Boxing is the match making. Our fighters are ridiculously inactive (first year prospects out 4 times in their first year) and take on far too many poor fights considering the time they have been off for (Rendall Munroe-Chris Riley, John Murray-Karim El Ouazghari, James Degale-Alpay Kobal) why take such large gaps and then take such crap fights, if they were busy on a card with a few other fighters of the same standing I wouldn't mind.

I accept that budgets are tight and that the guys making the shows have to make a living but sometimes some of the shows are just terrible and even for a Boxing fan not even worth the watch. If you are going to put on a poor main event at least put some interesting fights/fighters on the undercard.

here is the big one. all domestic level boxing should be on a week night. no friday or Saturday shows. i rarley watch live boxing now. you know why?? i am out pulling girls on a friday and saturday like every other guy my age.

fridays and saturdays for the big shows only.

    Dont lie ;)

I dont know about this argument on the one hand i think Saturday Fri can be a good night and its only on until so in one sense you can have it on with the lads round watching drinking beforehand i dont do that i just imagine some do

On the other hand I think the Wednesday night fights are a breath of fresh air and I would be interested to see if there is much/any difference in figures depending on which night its on

I agree I am 20 and like **** am I staying in too watch crap like Ricky Burns-Ghanian Bloke, Murray-Spanish Guy and although it is easier to sell tickets on a Saturday rather than on a Wednesday that only applies if it a big show like the Magnificent 7 or Khan-Salita, otherwise most of the tickets are sold to fighters friends and family who would go regardless of what day the show is on.

I took my nephew to see wrestling at the 02 on a tuesday night. 20,000 were there. 70,000 at wembley last night for a friendly with ghana. rhianna will do 20,000 at the 02 next week on a thursday. 60,000 at the emirates to watch arsenal in champions league and the victoria line shuts at 10pm they all have to leave if its extra time!!

sky geniuses think the way to boost boxing viewers is putting it up against x factor...brilliant.

yeah but im looking at it from the people who go to the shows point of view too , i'd prefer to go and watch boxing on a saturday night knowing i can chill and have as many drinks has i like without worrying about work next day , i start work real early in morning so going to a live show in the middle of the week would be a turn off.

...and about saturday boxing on tv...yes im out but i record the boxing so it dont matter and other people who might not be hardcore fans might catch the repeat of the show and see it as good hangover tv..

ill tell you whats "cool" if thats what you want , good scraps , even matches .

when someone tunes in and sees one of maloneys numerous heavys knocking over a fat 5'11 latvian its only gonna make them not want to tune in next week

ps maloney is not the only culprit i just needed an example

the viewers for PF last week was a record for sky and PF non heavyweight.
