Over the last 2 years, have you STOPPED being a Floyd Fan?

Well, Manny did face Hatton... but that's besides the point. The only legitimate reason I can think people would hate Floyd is because his attitude outside the ring. At that point, you're hating him on principle. (which I think is silly)

I have always admired his skills in the ring, that is what introduced me to him. PBF's skills are what made me watch his fights and later buy his PPV's. It was great you watch his fights and hear a little bit from him after and that is it. But in this 24/7 world you get to learn to much about people. What really turned me off about Floyd was one of the 24-7 episodes for the Mosley fight. His banter went something like this: "This stupid mother****er, this stupid mother****er wanna talk about he don't fight fo no check,shiiiiit that stupid mother****er better be fighting for a check, yous a prize fighter you stupid mother****er,stupid mother****er dumb stupid mother****er "

It's not what you say but how you say it, and he sounded like such a ****ing lame...it was sad. Those comments were so forced and he moving all crazy while saying this trying to be animated...but the **** was straight corny and his swag was all the way turned off.

 

Real talk bro, can you explain to me how exactly watching one grown man, talk **** about another grown man who he's about to do violent combat with upsets you?

I ask that because I just don't fathom it but obviously it ruffles a lot of feathers on here.

 

I liked him at the lower weights. His 147 career has been a huge disappointment frankly. But anyway I can still respect the guys tallent, its just everytime words are coming out his mouth that I get annoyed with his antics. I got a couple of hard core floyd fans in my group, they still roll with him but u can tell there disappointed in his ****. With all the trash he talks us think he'd be doing a little more then fighting light weights and old farts, but hey to each his own. I wouldn't be nearly as down on the guy if he'd just fade away, but tie constant stream of babble from his dad and uncle is what really gets old. Its like dude, floyd hasn't done **** lately, dude is part time at best, stop bumping ur gums like he s kicking ass and taking names...

 

I was a big fan of Mayweather.

But when he came back ands chose lightweight MARQUEZ as his comeback fight?

I was very disappointed and turned off.

I finally started to realize what everyone says about him never fighting the best and ducking any risky fights was true.

even though he finally fought Mosley and beat him and i give him his props.

It still left a bad taste in my mouth because he was forced into that fight with Mosley.

He never had no intentions of fighting Shane and it showed.

Floyd Mayweather jr is one of the Most gifted fighters i have ever seen.

Such a disaappointment that he doesnt like to test himself. It truly is.

Why is that you call everyone a hater when they dont agree with you on Floyd?

It is probably true that Floyd did have little options after the JMM fight and Mosley was not the 1st fighter he would choose?

 

I was think this as well, I have never been a PBF until the last couple of years. I enjoyed rooting against him, and pulled for ODLH, I pulled for Hatton, I have almost been pushed to be a fan by other fans. I also recognize his greatness and have grown to appreciate him even more, based on the sheer dominance demonstrated in the JMM and SSM fights. His work ethic, and craftsmanship are things to be appreciated and when looking at his body of work it's mind boggling that so many try to "discredit" him. The Gatti fight was on classic last weekend, and when you watch that it's like "****...this dude is unreal", he made all guts and all heart Arturo Gatti quit...that's pretty serious **** to me regardless how good or bad you think Gatti is. I too have grown into a fan moreso the last 3 or so years than I ever was before, but I've always appreciated his skills. I too don't give a **** what they do outside the ring, I don't need an "Idol", I simply like boxing.

 

It's right there, what I watched and what I felt. It wasn't authentic, He showed himself to be less then a G. A cornball, a lame. As I said before not what you do...But how you do it.

 

Thats not true. My issue is that people keep continuing to throwing out myths that aren't true, even when evidence to the contrary is staring them in the face. If you don't agree with me about some things that fine, but don't be so blinded by hate that lose all sense of being rational and just repeat stupid **** that other people say.

It amazing that after all the things that have happened, people are actually still continuing to claim that Floyd was scared of Mosley. It shows complete ignorance if not borderline stupidity.

 

What's true is that Floyd stated many times in the past that he wanted Shane, and even HBO tried to get something done but Shane didn't want it at that time for whatever reason, but everybody acts like that never happened.
