Pascal is really not the best fighter out there technicaly but damn this kid has a big heart. Look at his fights against Froch - Diaconnu 1-2 - Dawson and Hopkins. He is always in very good action fights. You should look at Diaconnu 2: Pascal dislocated his shoulder with 3 rounds to go and he continued to fight like a lion. It's sad because he has a bad stamina but this guy comes to fight. I have met him once in Vegas at the weight in of De la hoya and Maywheather (May 2007), and the other time in Montreal. He is a real gentleman. In public he has a big mouth but he his a good human being privately. Even if he loose on May 21st , Pascal will give us a good action fight again.
We need more fighter like him, I agree they ain't no easy fight the 21 may 2011 against B-Hop. But that's I'm looking for a champion. You take everything in your path. And well, that's Pascal does, love him or hate him.
I also rate the man! His fighting style is crude but his actual fights are usually entertaining and he has demonstrated a willingness to take all challengers. An added plus is that his ringwalks are pretty ****ing cool!
You stand corrected. Is this fight on youtube, now? I hope so, but I could only watch something like 3-4 round on the Internet. That's sad because it was awesome and a lot of people haven't seen it.
His stamina can be improved though. It's his build, he's built ridiculous for a boxer, he should be focused on cardio a lot more.
Seems like a good guy But mentally he wasnt right against Hopkins 1, he looked almost bewildered during the fight. This mental block will do him no favours for the second fight
His major flaw is his stamina, as well as his defence. But apart from that, his speed, power, athleticism and attitude, is great.
Hard to call him an action fighter when he throws 20 punches a round and bounces around the ring wasting energy. He has the physical abilities, but he doesnt use them enough. He fights in spots which means hes only entertaining in spots.
He could fight a full 12 rounds (like he did vs. Froch), but he'd probably get tired and he'd be outboxed by an elite fighter. So as of now, he always try not to lose too much energy. I hope he loses some muscle and does the Pacquiao trick with a bamboo stick to get bodyshot-proof abs, though. That'd be great.
