Over the last 2 years, have you STOPPED being a Floyd Fan?

Do you hate Mosley as well?? Cause he definitely was out of his element and being unauthentic trying to trash talk with Floyd.

 

Yeah, I think he chose to fight Mosley when the fight with Pacquiao fell through. Honestly, we heard negotiations right after the Berto fight was canceled. I think he's always just chosen the better fights. Mosley became relevant after the Margarito fight, but Manny was more relevant. He took Mosley when he couldn't take the Manny fight. I don't think he was forced into the Mosley fight at all.

 

What is the deal with all these polls pertaining to Mayweather?

Somebody simply points out that Shane probably wasnt what Floyd was looking for in a fight , but Floyd had little options.

The next thing you are cursing everybody out that challenges his actions. If you look through my posts I dont think I have ever said Floyd was scared to fight. I do think though that at this point in his career he is extremely selective in his opponents and if he was to lose would then lose all credibility and his history ranking.

Floyd certainly will not fight Manny due to the reward being lower than the risk.

If he wins he beats a smaller man. If he loses he lost to the only prime fighter he has fought in the past 6 years.

But he did choose to fight Shane, how can any of us speculate about what the man "thought", we can definitely talk about what he "did". He beat the best guy out there, after Manny/Roach openly ducked him, and did it in a way many didn't feel was possible.

 

You make it sound like Floyd fans are in an abusive relationship with him.

Truth is Floyd doesn't owe his fans anything. Could he develop an even more impressive stat sheet? YES, he can. Does he have to work when he's already a multi millionaire? NO, he doesn't.

It's really your problem if you worship a fighter. No fighter is bigger than the sport of boxing. Mayweather may deserve harsh criticism for his antics but unless you're a relative of his, why should anyone get emotional over his questionable behavior? Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is like a television set, not a girlfriend. You turn the tv off when there is nothing but junk. You watch only the good shows.

If Ali turned into a modern day Hitler it wouldn't erase a damn thing on his resume. He'd still be considered one of the greatest to ever lace up a glove.

 

How can you be a fan of his skills in the ring when he refuses to put those skills to the test against the best possible competition?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces charges in domestic dispute

The former world champion boxer faces eight felony and misdemeanor counts. A criminal complaint alleges he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and to beat his children if they left the residence or called 911.

Unbeaten former world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was charged with four felonies and four misdemeanors Thursday after his arrest last week in an incident involving his ex-girlfriend and children in Las Vegas.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Nevada, Mayweather faces two felony counts of coercion, one felony robbery count, one grand larceny count and misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and harassment.

A criminal complaint that emerged this week alleged Mayweather threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend Josie Harris, pulled her hair and threw her to the floor.

The complaint said Mayweather was at the home on the morning of Sept. 9 to visit his children and drop off $200 in "tooth fairy" money for his daughter. In a visit hours later he argued with Harris, and the complaint alleged Mayweather told Harris he'd make her and her boyfriend "disappear."

The felony coercion counts allege Mayweather threatened to beat his two sons if they left the residence or called 911 during the boxer's alleged verbal and physical attack of Harris.

A Clark County, Nev., spokesman said that if found guilty, Mayweather could face a maximum of 30-plus years behind bars and fines in excess of $20,000.

Mayweather, 33, is due to appear for an initial appearance at Las Vegas Justice Court on Nov. 9 — the same week his rival Manny Pacquiao will fight Antonio Margarito in a Nov. 13 junior-middleweight bout in Texas. That fight served as a replacement bout when Mayweather failed to strike a deal to fight Pacquiao in a mega-bout between the sport's top two pound-for-pound fighters.

Mayweather's attorney last week denied the boxer had committed any crimes.

Hatton wasn't "prime" when PBF beat him? I mean he was undefeated and the champion of his weight class...I would say SSM looked pretty "prime" against Tony, JMM has looked pretty ****ing good since the ass whooping from PBF, I mean ODLH at the weight and time PBF faught him looked pretty decent...I'm not saying these guys were "prime" but they were pretty ****ing good in the context of when PBF got in with them.
