Arum: "I'll Promote Nonito, not Punish him"

He wants to make money off the guy before his contract runs out of course he'll promote him.

 

Arum would gain nothing from punishing Donaire.

 

But, in his own words, he said the Filipino people do not connect with Donaire and said that all his guys would probably beat him.

He just said this last week.

And since, up until the Montiel fight, he did a terrible job of promoting Donaire, I dont see him doing anything for him.

As Arum said, the money just isn't there for Donaire....

 

Hopefully he puts him in tough fights to make as much money possible.

 

SHE will punish him though...I like Donaire as a fighter, but he seems to make poor decisions outside the ring, maybe not the most assertive dude.

It's up to Donaire and GBP if they gonna fight on. The legal battle may take forever like say 5, 6 years.

Give it to him for winning at least initially the case. Donaire has no choice at this point. It's either he goes back to Arum or be inactive. Nonito is not getting any younger.

 

He needs to let Arum know he wants more backing and he also needs to tell Arum that he wants a fight setup for him in May before they agree to play nice.

 

Since Donaire's big win on HBO it won't be as challenging to make money off of Donaire......he should have just left things the way they were.
