Your view on the cotto-margarito rematch

Same fight different day. Cotto has nothing that would trouble Margarito as the first fight demonstrated. Marg will walk him down and beat his ass again.

 

So if some of you guys are saying that Margo wins like he did last time again (fair assessment IMO) does that mean you guys believe that Margo's win over Cotto's fair game and isn't quite marred by possible illegal bricks?

 

Margarito shouldn't be allowed in a ring let alone getting another massive payday.

 

Don't like the idea at all about this rematch.

1. Don't think Marg even deserves a shot at the fight.
2. Not even sure Cotto would even win. An L again would negate the reason they even had a rematch.

Without loaded gloves Margarito won't be able to cause as much damage as he did the first fight.

 

He didn't. He was boxing his way to win until he succumbed to Margarito's constant pressure. Same result the second time.

Tony beat arguably the #2 Guy, Went 12 with the #1 & beat the **** out of Cotto.
(Lost to Shane, But Shane is in the big fight built off his win against Tony)

 

I think Cotto would win by decision. I think Margarito will take him to the brink, but i think Cotto has enough to hang on. This fight will remind a lot of people why they love Cotto so much.

 

gonna be like watching a replay of the first fight.

 

I don't see the need for this fight. Margo is just going to grind Cotto down faster.

 

I think Cotto can pull the decision! He will not make the same mistakes!

 

It's still be interesting and action pack.

Psychological advantage goes to Margo but I would prefer Cotto to win it.

I'm a fan of both.

I think the rematch is a tough fight but not impossible. I think right NOW its a good fight for Cotto and winning he will take a huge step that will set up his last couple of mega fights.

 

Both are past prime, but if cotto fights smart with a good gameplan he will win this one, lets say this: cotto has steward now who turns him into a safey first fighter, which is a bad thing because it doesnt mean taking full benefit of cotto's career, good thing is it will protect him and he will cruise to wins. He will beat margarito because of this, just needs to stay away from pac and martinez.

 

I see absolutely no reason it will go differently than the first fight, regardless of hand wraps. If Cotto tries to fight more defensively he'll just lose every round.
