Arum: "I'll Promote Nonito, not Punish him"

Arum is funny he always says "Yesterday I was lying but today I am telling the truth" Of course he will promote Nonito and will pay him hansomely if he wants to keep him in a years time.

My whole thing is this...I don't blame Nonito at all. He's trying to do what's best for his career.. However, Golden Boy isn't very smart with their undermining tactics. They pulled the exact same stunt with Manny when they tried to throw a suitcase full of cash at him when they knew PAC was with Top Rank...now they try it again and they lose again.atsch I could understand if they tried that kind of mess on a small promotion banner but not a Promotional GIANT like Top Rank.:nut Nonito would be smart to finish out his contract with Top Rank so he can stay active. If Nonito can get Golden Boy to buy him out of the contract great! But I doubt Golden Boy will do that....therefore Nonito really has one option if he doesn't want to be put on the shelf....Play nice and work with his promoter to get the most out of their contract with each other.

 

The smart thing to do is continue to work with Arum and let the contract run its course.

If Donaire continues with the suit and he loses he will not only be tied to Arum but also have to pay Arum. He better be damn sure he has a case and from the look of it, it doesn't look favorable to Donaire.

 

Of course this is all about money.

Arum will squeeze out all the money he can get from Donaire before the guy's contract expires and it would be wise for Donaire to play out the rest of his contract to avoid legal battles and keep him busy fighting while earning $$$.
