After the demolition of willie casey different options are in the horizon of Rigondeaux.
maybe a rematch with Cordoba to settle things right.
but he needs to move fast in order to establish himself as the star he really is,assuming Shields has develop him to the next level and he is puting his skills in a balance with techniche and power-wich he has both.
i think a fight with Nonito Donaire could sell as bomb if Rigo wins again in the same fashion in US soil.

with Donaire leaving Top Rank it seems we will get Rigo vs the winner of Vasquez Jr - Jorge Arce

    which is just perfect.

I think he needs to target a bigger name at 122. The Cordoba fight is past him and he has nothing to gain by beating him again. Yes it was an ugly fight that could be controversial but at his age and with the type of stinker the fight was no one wants to see it again.
Hmm whats a big name at 122???
I would love to see him and Donaire face off. I am not a fanboy who thinks Donaire is p4p number 3 and i have said it before. Rigo beats Donaire
Its simple really. "Anything you can do I can do better"
DOnaire is a counter puncher. Rigo also is a counter puncher just a better one.

Forgot about Arce. Yea perfect fight to make a statement too. Its a big name. Washed up but a big name none the less or the new star of the division if Vasquez Jr. wins.

I think they go for Arce regardless. Arum knows the business to building a fighter.

Shimoda is the full WBA champ so they might force him to fight Rigo.

His next fight will be on showtime July 9th. Co-feature with Brandon Rios. As for opponent, I wouldnt be surprised if top rank tried to make a fight with Teon Kenneddy. Dont think it will be a big name anyway

Losing to Rigo would not mean that Donaire is not a p4p top3. Rigondeaux is alot stronger than Donaire and might be one of the best fighters in the sport himself although he is untested.

Both of those would be great fights which could be made easily.. I think if he fights Nishioka or Shimoda, he's going to have to go to Japan..

Im not saying that. Im saying to me he is not p4p # 3 right now like many people have said.

To me he is in the top 7.
I think its outrageous he gets to jump over Martinez, Hopkins, JMM, Bradley, Klitchsko with just one notable win in the last 3 years. Not to mention with only 2 names on his resume.

Donaire has NOT left Top Rank.Legally,he is still with Top Rank and if he continues to sue for freedom he will be out of service for quite some time.:deal
