something needs to come up to get japaneses and US fighters meeting each other, there is too much talent in Japan for us not been able to enjoy it. some fights over there, some others over here...and some in neutral ground.
I don't want him to sit and wait for the winner of Vasquez Jr-Arce, he should stay busy and take a fight or two in the meantime. I'm not sure if these fighters would come to the US, or if Rigo is open to travelling to the Far East but I'd love to see him against Nishioka, Roy Li Lee or Kratingdaenggym.
not a bad option to stay busy, but i have a feeling arum will work a fight with donaire by the end of the year.
Since he beat Casey in 1 round there's no reason he can't fight three more times between now and next March. I think he should settle things with Cordoba. Christian Mijares makes since too ever though he's a division south. The guy still has a big name, he also has his own title, and he presets Rigo with a unique style.
I bet Nishioka would even come to US if given the chance. But I believe it will happen in Japan. It's gonna be a BIG event there. More money for both fighters
Not sure.. He might look for another title fight somewhere in the US or something so he wouldn't have to travel as far or maybe he doesn't want it in Nishioka's backyard where he would get the advantage with the judges.. I do believe Rigo would go to Japan though to fight him before Nishioka came to the U.S.
Seriously, for Rigondeaux who fought over a decade in every continent and fights his entire pro career away from home - in Ireland the last time - to even suggest he's protected is insulting. Why wouldn't he go to just another country? Fans today far too easy to tag boxers something they are not. Nishioka is also a terrible call, he went to Mexico to knock Gonzalez out and the April 8 triple-header was also supposed to be on the American continent. But I was talking about Rigondeaux vs. Shimoda (legit WBA champ), a less popular fighter therefore easier to bring to the US. But if it's in Japan, no problem either way. Speaking of the two islands, Gamboa had the majority of his training camp in Japan and left just days before the 9.0 earthquake. He had some kind of special training and liked his visit as much as I liked his nice words to the devastated people following his win. If JuanMa and John are unwilling to fight, Yuri might very well move up and go to Japan to fight Ao or Uchiyama - holy ****, That would be a fight!
