I've never seen an Andre Berto fight...PERIOD.

Is it me or he doesn't fight a lot?

If he is the second best fighter Berto will have faced, that just says a lot about Berto.

I don't see Ortiz touching Berto.

    Anticipating a one sided beatdown.

Ortiz weighs more than Berto on fight night. War Ortiz!

Ortiz doesn't have the hand speed adavantge in this fight and will get beat to the punch all night long. Berto is going to beat the crap outta of Ortiz and when the going gets tough Ortiz will melt down and probably gets stopped. Berto matches up better with Ortiz than he does Collazo and styles make fights. Berto is all wrong for Ortiz.

    Exactly what i think.

It looks like they gave up on Ortiz. Why are they putting him in there???

It's like they said "its all or nothing."

They have not given up on Ortiz. First of all Ortiz weighed 155lbs for his last 140lb fight. He kept his weight low as possible to try to get a major 140lb fight. That may have backfired, he was robbed against peterson (draw should have been a win) , so i think they think he might be better off at 147. And the Berto fight is an instant money fight. You can only coddle someone for so long

Basically. If Ortiz had beaten Maidana and Peterson GBP wouldn't put Ortiz within a light year of Berto but since he didn't he's lost a lot of value to them.

Ortiz is probably the best fighter Berto has faced outside of Collazo, you could make an argument for Quintana but I think I'd rate Ortiz ahead of the Quintana that Berto beat. I think this is a decent fight but Berto should be a solid favorite.

It seems people are underrating Ortiz a bit but I think Ortiz is still a solid fighter. He's moving up in weight but he seems like he could be the bigger guy on fight night and Ortiz has had a number of fights at welterweight already. Ortiz will have his moments but I think Berto gets the win. Berto by UD.

By far, and Ortiz has a lot more natural talent than Collazo. Ortiz was robbed with that draw against Ortiz, I'm sure most would agree who have seen the fight. Berto doesn't hit anything like Maidana does, period. Berto is inaccurate, and can just be very wild at times. Without speed I'd say Bert has zero chance. But his agility and movement might be enough to cause Ortiz some problems.

A few questions may be answered in this fight...

Does Ortiz have the stomach for a battle?
Can Berto take a shot off a puncher like Ortiz?

Leaning towards Berto to pull it off via UD, no doubt my pick will change a few times back and forth before the fight.

Ortiz is all hype he has no Chin and no Heart. He was a creation by Golden Boy and that is the ONLY reason he is in yet another big fight. He is awful.

Ortiz is still a good fighter.
