    None of them do. Pac beat them both in impressive fashion. That's where their participation in pacs legacy ends. What they do to one another helps THEIR legacy only.

    if margo wins it will be another fighter that went on to win another world title after pac beat him. cotto has already done that and we know how great of a win that was for pac, it can't get much better unless he beats a martinez type. margarito win for pac is hugely underrated, people calling margo shot and claiming his best wins came only because he cheated. if he can re-establish himself as a top fighter at 154 it will certainly enhance pac's win over him

    You don't think it would make Pacquiao's win bigger, if, say, Cotto goes on to rule his division for the next 5 years?

    Looking at an actual example, I think Froch's win over Pascal became much better for his legacy after Pascal had beaten Dawson, who was a P4Per.

    A: The win would be treated as a greater win than if Margarito repeats the task

    B: It adds credence to Cotto still being somewhat of an elite fighter lending credibility to Manny's destructive win.

    The result of this fight could definitely improve Pacquaio's legacy. Whoever wins this fight will see their stock go up and since Pac beat the winner of this fight his win will become better. You can make an argument over the degree that Pac's legacy is affected but, to some degree, Pac's win over the winner of Cotto-Margarito looks better.
