"How can one fight for a 'World Youth title' at the age of 34? Well, Mazykin did just that back in 2009...when he was still youthful per the WBC..."

    Good old Brits.

    Round 1

Pala bouncing at the knees (which, incidentally, are draped with very low-hanging baggy trunks down to his ankles) and jabbing. Every time he tries to do more than jab, it's a clinch as he always come in low and gets swallowed up in the arms of Mazykin. Pala jabs and maneuvers on the outside, making Mazykin reach and miss. 1-2 from Pala before darting out of the pocket. Pala slips some shots in close. Big 1-2 from Pala but smothered by Mazykin's proximity, and a clinch.

    10-9 Pala

Damn, I wish I had those limey commentators you have instead of this Dutch joker.

    Round 2

Pala is sucked into the vortex of Mazykin's sweaty chest again, and takes a few cuffs to the back of the head. Pala stays outside and Mazykin reaches out to hook him in the ear, with no argument from Pala. Mazykin clinches again as Pala tries to uppercut his way inside. Pala smacks him with a left hook to the lip. Pala needs to stop kidding himself about getting to do any clean infighting, and just keep Mazykin at the end of his jab. He keeps falling in, though. Ugly. Pala pot shotting and getting grabbed. Mazykin plods, clubs, and jabs. Pala leans away from Mazykin while backing up along the ropes and suddenly slingshots forward and snaps a very sharp jab into his face. Quick combo from Pala again springing forward, an uppercut with a left hook and then a hasty retreat before Mazkyin can respond.

    Round 3

Pala upper-hooking his way in as he keeps Mazykin turning. Mazykin's feet are very slow and heavily anchored, letting Pala flit about and pick him apart without any trouble. Lots of quick jabs and daring expeditions inside by Pala, nimbly slipping both punches and attempts to grab. Mazykin is cut, seemingly between the eyes. Pala completely drops his hands and stands straight up while tiptoeing around Mazykin, but of course isn't made to pay for it. Pala then gets back into a boxing stance and starts snapping some nice jabs into the Ukrainian's fake. Pala just coasting with his jab and hyperactive movement, very comfortable and almost bored.

    Round 4

Mazykin is still trying to bottle Pala up, but mixing in some swiping hooks and short uppercuts. Lands an uppercut. Straight right lands moments later. Pala is staying in a bit too close and getting hit with incidental leather. He's still landing cleaner with his snappy jab to the face, and dodging a majority of Mazykin's telegraphed attacks. Pala turns sideways and crab-jabs toward Mazykin. Clinch. Mazyikin is walking through the jab now, letting it roll off the side of his head. Pala straightens his aim out and snaps Mazykin's head back with a better placed jab. Mazykin tries hooking through the protective right glove of Pala to pool-ball it into Pala's head. Pala closes the round with a nice fast flurry.

    Round 5

Pala just slips shots on the outside, using tricky footwork to force Mazykin to constantly reset. A trickle of jabs from Pala. He throws a right hand and of course there's a clinch when the punch carries him into range. Wild hook misses from Pala. He might be trying to end it now. Nah. Not too aggressive after all. Still pot shotting. Right hands are getting him grabbed. Mazykin looks dejected and tired.

"A Ukrainian vs. a Czech in Germany is a bit like an Italian vs. a Spaniard in England, innit? :hey"

Robney, wtf does that mean? I'm missing context here...

    Round 6

Pala still snaps the jab. Mazykin still tries to grab. Very much settled into a pattern. Mazykin suddenly tries a different approach of stepping back and to the left and ripping long left hooks. Pala slaps them aside pretty easily, and gets back to sticking his jab straight into Mazykin's face. They jab together and Mazykin is backed up. Hard 1-2 to the face by Pala, literally shut Mazykin's gaping jaw. Mazykin breathing through his mouth. Pala still looks very relaxed, and very fluid except when Mazykin flops his arms over him on the inside. Mazykin is boxing a little better, blocking a lot of the pot shots between the clinches and only really getting hit with jabs. They trade uppercuts on the inside. Clinch. Reaching right hand just at the bell by Mazykin.

The commentators were on the verge of giving that round to Mazykin due to relative inactivity by Pala but sounded uncertain by the end.

I've got it a shutout halfway through.

The commentators explain how a match like this gets made for a title.

"Basically, they take a list of available opponents and present it and say 'Right then, who would you like to face? Have your pick' to the one with the high ranking, and that's how it works. Naught to do with merit".

"That's just rude if you ask me; I'd thought they got there on merit."

"Yes, of course Mazykin does belong here on merit...under the logic that bigger is better..."

    A couple of cut-ups.

    Round 7

Mazykin is getting his face ground into dog meat on the inside as Pala is keeping his hands high & busy on the way into clinches...using some elbow too. Mazykin is bleeding from several spots on his face. Pala clubs with overhand rights. WHOA! Leaping uppercut by Mazykin, throws himself completely off balance. Pala flurries at his face until the bell again, and Mazykin nearly turns his back to him. Mazykin oozing lot of plasma.
