Another Gym vs Gym Sparring Session. Northside Boxing Gym versus South Valley Boxing Gym 6 Fights...We lost 4-2 I fought a 24 year old Amatuer (remember, I am 40) he dropped me in the 1st with a WICKED BODY-SHOT. And then he attacked my body every round after. So far my record in these Gym vs Gym battles is 3-6 1KO. But I am getting better. Not bad for a 40 yr old former B-ball Player with two surgically-repaired knees.
Sparring isn't a match? its a spar. You can tell by the words 'sparring' and 'match' sounding really different. Like 'training' and 'competition' - note how different they sound.
Northside in england? And yeah,,, sparring is different... plus winners arnt really decided in sparring its to help both boxers.
True...it's Gym vs Gym 5 Round Sparring Sessions. Still a lot of fun and good competition. And because this is taken very seriously...this is more than just training.
Come on now man. You know damn well when a cat comes from a different gym to "spar" that ish is going to get pretty rough. It might take a few "sessions" for you guys to build up enough friendship to actually have fun doing it. Man for us a new cat joins the gym? Thanks Slick.... They are 5 3-Minute Rounds....Unless both Gyms agree on other/different rules. Going to Texas to battle a Boxing gym from Austin (but we going to battle/Meet them in Garland, Texas). They have a Large Boxing team of like 17 Fighters....So they have 6 Fighters facing off versus fighters from the "West Texas Boxing Club" and My Gym (Northside Boxing Gym) is bringing 7 Fighters (including me) to fight 7 Fighters from a Boxing Club in Austin, Texas. I should be ready by then....it's the first Sat in May.:bbb
