Yeah I have noticed the trend. This is pure speculation and could be wrong, but with so many doing it, it seems to me that they are not active enough simply because the powers that be are wanting to use them on specific dates in order to boost bills for TV cards.

If they were lesser known prospects they would be able to do just get on smaller bills, but their known profile is pushing them to be used for commercial purposes more.

Khan was high profile, but the difference is that he had a nice little terrestrial TV contract with ITV that was putting him on every month.

Let's hope this has already long since been sorted and from now on we'll see him far more active

I've no idea if its true but I read an interview with Warren where he said, because of the contract he was on, he couldn't afford to have James DeGale fighting anymore often than he does. If thats right then theres something wrong with the contract, from Warrens point of view financially AND from DeGales from a career development point of view.

The way its going these lads are going into world class after 10/12 fights. I just don't think its enough when you are (hopefully!!!) winning/ defending titles against the best in the world.

Yeah, I just hope they are held where they are for a while fighting at domestic level for a year to 18months. People will whine about it demanding better opposition and the fighters will push to be allowed to step up but they really need more pro ring experience

Don't get all the hate for Hall. A good, honest pro.

Half of them haven't forgiven him for losing to Small...the other half think you're shite if you're not "world class" and don't have a 0 in your record.

Who said this about Frankie Gavin anyway?

TBH I'd expect him to get the better of Hall. Hall doesn't really have a style thats going to look great in sparring as he relies on his power and pressure wearing opponents down which all have a lesser impact when the intensity is not high, big gloves etc.

Am i the only one who thought Hall gave as good as he got in this session? ( not that what happens in sparring means a lot).
