Anyone who has watched Bernard throughout his career knows that he is not above cheating...I wouldn't put it past him. But, unless there is a smoking gun, it ultimately hurts the sport if anyone makes accusations without any proof. In the court of popular opinion, everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

Look at the ripple effect of Mayweather's accusations. This is the entire reason that we're seeing this Promotional war with Golden Boy and Top Rank. Before the Mayweather accusations, GB and TR were making great fight cards and boxing was enjoying success that hasn't existed in the sport since the late 90's.

Now look at the stalemate we have since the HGH allegations. All due to Golden Boy supporting Floyds accusations of Manny. Completely without merit and it has crippled the relationship between Arum and Golden Boy. It's pretty funny how some idiots who claim to be journalists supported Floyd's accusations but now condemning Pascal's.

People are funny...it almost sounds like people who were condemning the War in Iraq but now stating that action in Libya is justified.

That's true, he's a well known liar inside the ring, he's down to every single thing to do to win. Means alot to me.

I still can believe these nuthuggers "oh oh hopkins is so great it can only be due to ped use" bull****.

Fighters of the past have achieved more than hopkins did without suspicion.

Yes the guy is a legend but let's not pretend what he's doing is completely impossible.

The last time was walking through the mall and stopped at GNC, some dudes were asking the sales person for some stuff that they don't even sell, some of the synthetic and legal supplements that act just like steroids. The sales person told them to check online for it. Those are recreational bodybuilders and semi-athletes, so you can imagine that the top athletes would be looking for something too, especially someone older like Hopking who still needs to perform at a high level. It makes me wonder :huh. They could be clean, but in most likelyhood, thay are using something. If they refuse tests, then you have to be suspicious even more.

There's so much that can't be tested for, that I don't view refusal to test as a red flag at all. Someone with the bankroll of Hopkins or Pacquaio certainly isn't using something as generic as to be able to be tested for.

No testing, even WADA, is anywhere near the level of testing sophistication necessary to curtail PED use. Not even close. And that's what more fans (not saying you in particular) ought to understand. WADA/USADA is the equivalent of the best screen door for a submarine. Yeah, it's the best- but it's not stopping any flooding any time soon. Any investment in it fills testing org's coffers and sells a clean image to fans, but does nothing in reality to accomplish its stated objective.

He shouldn't be under suspicion based on Jean's accusations. Someone accusing anther man of doing something that could end his career and tarnish his legacy is something serious.

If you go about poppin off at the mouth with something this serious it's the honorable and respectable thing to do if you have something to support such damaging comments.

I'm not saying Nard isn't doping...he could be but all I'm saying is that it's NOT Nard's obligation to adhere to demands coming from whomever decides to makes accusations against him. That opens up a lot of potentially detrimental future situation that could have been avoided had they nipped it in the bud the first time.

If you dont think its possible your in denial

Im not saying he is or its definite

but to think a 45 yr old man is fighting better than he was at 25 and just turned in maybe the greatest performance since Trinidad he was way more aggressive and threw way more and exerted himself way more than usual

I mean Hopkins has the money and the connections to get the drugs so why is it so far from impossible

they catch golfers and cyclists and sprinters so why not a 45 yr old boxer

I figure if they poll the nfl and mlb anonymously 60 to 80 percent use

The option chosen was "he could be", not "he is".

I say anyone COULD be, but it doesn't mean I think he more than likely is.

    I have no idea really.

As a fan of Bernard Hopkins since 1990, my belief is that B-Hop has never used PEDs. Even if I was not a fan of B-Hop, I would still have very little suspicions of him using PEDs, just based on the fact that he has consistently performed at this high level for over two decades.

Now, if there was ever a boxer you should all be suspicious of using PEDs, look no further than Sergio Martinez. Let's not forget, Martinez was a journeyman fighter for most of his career. Then, in his mid 30's, he suddenly becomes one of the best fighters in the world virtually overnight. Hmm, something smells really fishy here.
