that's nice that he thinks that...but he doesn't call the shots, Uncle Bob does. The fight will happen when Arum wants it to.
I don't really care if it's at 126 or 130. I don't see how that would make the fight any bigger than it is now though - maybe if they both pick up a title at 130 but I doubt wins over Burns and Fana would turn it into a financial blockbuster. Gamboa has fought a lot at 130 so I don't think it gives JuanMa any advantage to have the fight there either.
As much as I hate Arum, he will find a way of bringing casual interest into this bout before 2012. At the minute, there is very little, if any. He will make this bout when he can get the most money out of it...and both boxers will be improving during that time.
So Juanma just came with the date and venue against Gamboa and already knows he is fighting Marquez in a rematch... Damn im impress someone is finally telling Uncle Bob to run things the way they want
JuanMa already knows that he is fighting Marquez in a rematch because that's the fight Arum has set up for him. And he knows that he won't fight again at 126 after that, so the fight with Gamboa will have to be at 130.
Not necessarily. He can fight the re-match with Rafa this year, then have another couple of fights (at 130) before Gamboa beats him.
Its not a surprise this fight is going to happen next year at 130 since both fighters have already say they were moving up in weight soon. Arum controls these two fighters and they both have to do what he says simply the moral of the story...
How many times Gamboa's had fought at 126? I think the last time at the end of 08 or the beginning of 09, still I think he will carried that weight just fine.
