I believe them. Macklin didn't seem like he wanted it, the joker.

Joe Gallagher wants to protect his special 44 whatever record he's got.

    Protect it..? By fighting Sturm?

If the Sturm fight comes off then we will know, but I don't think he's going to be holding his fighters back and I'm not convinced he has that much of a say in matchmaking anyway.

Er no...he's being offered a shot at Sturm. Why fight an eliminator when you can fight the 'champion'?

He looked nervous about the fight on ringside and even said he was. Is the Sturm fight on? if so i don't blame him for not taking this fight cos i think he's got to take the chance now or never. I see him getting beat by likes of Gevor and co so it's a better move to go straight for title and go all guns in pursuit of glory.

Reckon Martin Murray should step up and fight Gevor? Massive step up but would be good gage for where he is at

He'd get beat....not sure if that would be good for him. Depends on Martin as a man. Some fighters are happy to lose and learn but some fall apart and lose the pride after a loss. He'd sure learn a thing or to in there and it wouldn't be end of world for him.

really hope Macklin gets strum- deserves a tilt- team strum's response seems to suggest it is in the pipeline- but what Peter was saying is the he agreed with WBA that Gevor Macklin was a WBA eliminator!

The fight with Gevor is signed and sealed? Because I haven't seen anything yet. Until then, what he did was a waste of time. Why not go ahead when you have 2 weeks till you fight?

A fight with Gevor would have done him good before a shot against Sturm.

Why fight for the right to challenge the Champion when you already have that opportunity? It just doesn't work out for Macklin in terms of risk-reward.
