    The **** knocker who wrote that is English and call me presumptious but I would say he is suggesting that people from Glasgow can't afford a ticket to see Marvin Hagler. Therefore, by definition, he is labelling ALL Glaswegians poor which is a racist slur.

    I must be slow, because my understanding was that to be considered a racial slur it would have to be a slur based on your race, rather than on your economic standing.

    It wasn't a race based comment, he was just stating that Glasgow, as a City, is poor as **** - which it is.
