The wise decision for his camp is to sit it out for a few years, and challenge Vitali, who I think with a little work on his D and his foot work he could outbox.

As for the modern landscape, who knows. But if I'm Robbes camp, I call out Dimitrenko NOW. Boystov NOW, Chambers NOW. Get those fights done. Get that footwork right, and then go after a 41yo Vitali. Maybe force him into retirement and catch that vacated WBC belt in the interim.

IMO avoid Wlad at ALL costs until he's at least 38. Robbe will still be in his 20's with younger, fresher legs, and Wlad will have gone through a lot of stress trying to get fights. Might be he could catch up to a disinterested Wladimir and take over from there.

    more like 2 years.

Wlad would ANNIHILATE Helenius at this point.

Lets Hope Helenius keep improving his skills and condition and maybe one day... maybe.

At least he showed he has chin and REAL Power.

Won't be surprised if he fights for the "regular" WBA title 3 fights from now.

seems like both brothers fight quite inexperienced guys so probably not long.

They fight ANYONE who DARES to enter the ring with them. Sadly though the more experienced fighters know better and only try to get themselves ranked by the WBA.

No doubt Helenius will fight for a crown inside two years, but if he's smart he'll go after Valuev/Potvetkin/Meehan's WBA belt or maybe he could try to outpoint a 41 y/o Vitali.

I want to see the entire fight before making any conclusions. But for now as brief note, I will add that Helenius MIGHT be shaping up into a Sanders-like fighter to create some serious problems for Wlad especially if you consider the probability that Wlad's physical decline is not too far off. But make no mistake, Wlad is not a kind of a champion to overstate his prime for long.

I predict Vitali won't be fighting when he's 41. He doesn't turn 40 until July, so July 2012 I don't think he'll still be around. But I suppose he might be. Can't see Wlad fighting past 37, I just think these guys are smart enough to get out while the going is still good.

Once K2 have dealt with Haye, Adamek and Povetkin there isn't much incentive to stick around and wait for Helenius to hit his prime (5 years+) while they stagnate. So he might need to get them soon.

If anyone can beat K2 though (provided Haye doesn't), its Helenius. He's not giving up any height, he's not overweight, he can punch, he has cheen, he's a contender! :good

Doesn't he fight Chambers next for the mandatory shot at Wlad? Either way, Chambers vs Helenius could go either way.

The sooner the better Wlad's legacy will grow substantially in the next 3 years, approaching 20 title defenses in that time period against some of his best opposition.
