Better round for Wlod, he landed more effectively in this round than maybe any previous round, Palacios still isn't landing outside of an occasional jab. 95-95.

 

Palacios would beat Cunningham.

this fight is even going into the 11th.

 

Palacios has a style I don't much care for and I'm openly rooting for Diablo...but in my view it's not really been a close match.

If Diablo fought with the aggression and fire he's capable of, it could have been (or it could have been 'not close' in the other direction...or already over by now).

Agree 100%, though I'm clearly giving the even/close rounds to Diablo because of his defense whereas you're leaning to Palacios

 

Round 11

Palacios takes a 1-2 and goes super-cautious, staying outside and just blasting Wlod with a quick combo when he gets right up close, usually leading with a leaping uppercut. Palacios trying to stay well outside. Wlod stalks, uses good side to side movement to shut down Palacios' angles of escape. Wlod walks him across the ring, nearly to the ropes and Palacios flings an arm behind Wlod's head to pull him into a clinch. Wlod is bullying with his jab now. Right to the body misses for Wlod, and then he pulls out of the pocket before Palacios can counter him with a 1-2. Palacios is running away, slipping jabs with head movement, scared.

Just goes to show you tho.... when Diablo is in the ring vs. a real active fighter, he buckles. Palacios isn't a ploddler like Fragomeni and Robinson. Palacios moves around in the ring. A lot. Thats why they call him the Wizard. One second he's there, another second hes somewhere else. Great in ring movements and has a decent style. Crowd pleasing too. But its just the style between him and Diablo which is why this fight is so lack luster.

 

10-9 Wlod, basically repeat of the same round, only he's landing a bit more, getting closer, doing a better job stalking and cutting the ring. Wlod's jabs is much stronger than it was before, Palacios can only run. 104-103 Wlod

Palacios has run out of ideas the last two rounds. Wlod's blocking much more but he's still 8 rounds down on my card.

 

Yeah, I'm just seeing a lot of those little slapping flurry shots around the guard move the flesh on Wlod's face...telling me that they are landing...but they're really not accomplishing jack****. Palacios could probably take a full round of free shots on Wlod and not even tickle him. :yep

 

Just tuned in, it looked like Wlod took 10 and 11 but I'm guessing he's behind. I smell a hometown decision.
