Yeah, those head-rocking shots are landing more and more often for HM.

    Round 7

Slower pace, both need it. Referee warns them for the inevitable orthodox vs. southpaw head clashes that have littered the fight (but not detracted from it). Big right hands from Concepcion, still. It still has a lot of snap on it, he just can't plant it squarely on Marquez's chin even though Marquez is also a bit tired and not exceptionally slick defensively. Marquez is using just enough movement, bouncing around, keeping Concepcion just outside with his jab. Wild tree-sawing shots from Concepcion. Marquez is moving nicely. They parry their opposite jabs.

I'd say Marquez is pretty well up, which is crazy because after that first round (even with him scoring a flash KD at the end) you'd swear he was on the way to being brutally KTFO.

Just think - it didn't even work out for me to do Murray-Ouzaghchi (however it's spelled) or N'Jikam-Lorenzo! Had hoped to do both..

Concepcion's hands are too low...especially his left. He needs to get back box a little from the outside. Too many wild big shots he's trying to land now.

Concepcion needs a second wind and a miracle KO.

    Round 8

Concepcion is now coming forward, closing distance well and using his long jab, alternately holding it out like a plank and snapping it out from the recoil. Marquez is dipping low while he circles, trying to find a spot to rush in and flurry to the body. Concepcion looks predatory. Marquez circles away, not punching. Concepcion leaps on his toes to his left, cutting Marquez's path off. BIG 1-2 by Concepcion and Marquez retreats to the ropes. Concepcion comes running in but doesn't punch; instead pushing with both gloves into Marquez's midsection. Marquez, meanwhile, holds his lead glove out in Concepcion's face and pushes away at him. Strange.

This whole fight is crazy. Marquez (a sizable underdog) at times seems the much bigger puncher and the better boxer...but it still feels very close and like anybody could win it.

Concepcion seems to only be looking for the homerun now. It almost looks as if though Marquez can win the fight if he put a bit more pressure.

    Round 9

Concepcion carries himself off balance a bit with a right hand. Marquez is still boxing from the outside. Concepcion tries to figure out how to get past or around the southpaw jab. He dances from one foot to the other, side to side. Marquez waits for him, circling. Concepcion comes forward with his left hand extremely low, almost straight down across his thigh, and launches big right hands. Marquez moving too well to get hit with them. Marquez down, slip. Both miss far-reaching shots. Marquez is keeping well outside. Concepcion tries to stick his jab out, and Marquez pulls away from it while countering. Concepcion almost corners Marquez and starts pumping the right hand. Concepcion's head rocked by some right hooks. BIG wallops from Marquez, clubbing across the back of Concepcion's head as he keeps him spinning with his head bowed a little.

We'll see what happens. If Concepcion is still on his feet he may win the fight. A lot of back and forth action and the close rounds I'm sure will go to Luis.
