And don't make the argument that since Foreman won a title past his physical prime that he would have beaten so and so in his physical prime. He even admits he was a better BOXER(not banger, boxer) when he made his comeback. Go look at his early fights and he looks like a windmill, when he made his comeback he actually had to use skill, and was a better and more skilled boxer.

You cannot really claim to be an expert on boxing if you say Lewis wouldn't be competitive vs Ali.

Ali was good but his hype train goes way overboard sometimes he had some close scraps with guys others would have walked.

Lewis was a very timid boxer but when he went nuts he went nuts. I see Lewis as a more technically sound Foreman with better stamina and for the entire fight Foreman had Ali on the backfoot so what does that mean if Lewis was there instead of Foreman?

If Chuck Wepner can drop Ali, imagine what LL would have done....

I think Lewis can stop Frazier although he'd have to be careful. If he got hit by the hellacious left hook that dropped Ali in the FOTC, then you can bet he wouldn't be getting back up like Ali did. Against Foreman, I think Lewis can take it on points if he fights smart and uses his superior boxing skills to keep Foreman at bay. If he is silly enough to stand and trade with Foreman I think he loses. As for Ali, I think Ali takes this on points. In any case, Lewis is an ATG so it makes sense that even other ATGs would need to be at their best to beat him.

Frazier? Why is he even mentioned? Please. Lennox would have punched him from post to post like a cardboard box.

Foreman's strength set him apart, and his telephone pole jab, and his chin, and his power...

I don't think any HW in history has an easy night with Big George, especially not one with a so-so chin...

Lets be realistic here people, 70's ali would not beat lennox lewis, I cant see it.
However prime ali with his great speed is a teriffic matchup for anyone, and his speed could bother lewis, prime ali never gets easily defeated by anyone, speed kills.

Lewis schools both versions of Foreman

Frazier has the style to land the KO punch but Lewis handles him easily for a UD decision

Ali beats Lewis using his feet, making Lewis walk into his punches

LEWIS BEAT EVERY MAN HE EVER FACED

    *Note

in order to do this he was LUCKY to be given rematches to the fighters he lost to and not do the same when he had tough fights

Ali had the jab to get to Lewis and his workrate and elusiveness would have been the difference against Lennox.

Lewis would give any heavyweight in history a hard night. Neither of those 3 could KO him , he does not have a bad chin , he gets KOed when he isn't braced for a punch and a big banger hits him.

Lewis vs Ali- This would be the toughest fight for Lewis and i see this almost certainly going to the score cards for either man. Ali has faster feet and Lewis has the better reach. Neither man can impose their advantages on the other. The straight of Lewis would give Ali some trouble with the great reach , power and accuracy paired with Alis pull back style , he may get caught a few times forcing him to air on the side of caution. Ali couldn't impose his tremendous strength on Lewis and tie him up as Lewis is simply too big and powerful. Although i give Lewis some slight advantages in theory in practice Ali is so unorthodox its hard to think how he will fight because of this i think its a 50/50 fight , a true "pickem".

Lewis vs Frazier - Should be an easy night for Frazier. Lewis probably goes into the fight win a plan on boxing but Frazier would put the pressure on. Lewis jabs his face off on the way in , then has two options tie him up and work away or give him all hell. Most likely Lewis slugs Joe to death over a few rounds knocking him down until he cant get up anymore. Its a terrible fight for Frazier.

Lewis vs Foreman - As much as people like to pick this as a bad fight for Lewis i think its is incredibly winnable. Lewis could choose to box and shouldn't have much trouble with Foreman. He could also stand and slug with Foreman very comfortably , Foremans big wide slow swinging blows could be easily braced for or avoided by Lewis as he bashes Foreman to pieces with with his big bombs for a bit of range. Lewis spent his entire career fighting big heavy hitters , Foreman should not trouble him too much.

    Foreman KO's Lewis.

That fight would be like a worse version of Mercer-Lewis for Lennox.

Foreman had a nearly invulnerable beard, and will (especially after the Ali "KO," which was more about Foreman being tired than hurt). So, I can't see Lennox taking him out. But at some point Foreman is going to get to Lewis. When that happens, fight's over.

I think he would beat Frazier in Tua like fashion, and if he weathered the first 3 rounds against Foreman, I could see him knocking George out. :rasta

Even though Lewis was about Tyson and Holys age he stayed at the top longer. He had a great jab and right hand good enough on his best night might beat any HW in history. But like many people who thought a prime Mercer beat him and a prime Young beat Ali both had their offnights. If Rahman and McCall upset Lewis Foreman definitely would of pulled off the upset. Old slow as **** Foreman gave modern fighters hell can you imagine a prime Foreman? He looked crude, but Ali and Young made it look easy. Young easily was the best contender that should of been great, but fell short. Lewis doesnr have Alis speed or wits, one their best night I still pick Ali. Briggs and Vitali gave Lewis a tough time Foreman aint no Tua Lewis-Foreman is 50-50.
