im not susprised. fedors people cant expect him to get the big fight fee like he has done in the past with two back to back losses. he got paid well because people thought he was the best, now it looks like his time might have past and if he wont lower his expectations on how much he is going to get paid or sign a "ufc style" contract i dont know where else he can go and fight.

Athletes, especially fighters don't retire that easily unless they generally believe they are on the slide...... Fedor would still think he can beat the best out there.

    :deal

When Fedor refused they're big money contract the UFC must have felt like the spoilt child being told NO for a change. But after these losses no one is arguing that Fedor is P4P No.1 or even at heavy-weight, and with the purchase of ZUFFA's only true competitor the tables have certainly turned. One has to wonder what Fedor's motivation to continue to fight is, does he need money? Does he want to go out with a win or is he delusional enough to think that he's still the best?

    Fedors a fighter...A competitor..A mixed Martial artist.

Probably doesnt know anything else..Hes ony lost twice and probably in his eyes thinks if he made a few changes to his game he could still be the best..Im not so sure..

But only time will tell..Please just fight Overeem..

I guess it would be hard to give up something that you've been considered the best in the world for a long time at. Fedor's time has passed though, I fear that he's sorrounded by a bunch of yes men that have him convinced that he's just been unlucky.

Right now I don't know how you could justify giving him a shot at the champ, but hey I guess we've seen stranger things happen in this sport. How many fights had Brock had before his first title shot??

Utterly pathetic. I thought it was business as usual aye? Did i ****. Dana's like a spurned girlfriend.
Here's your monopoly folks. A fighter wants to fight and compete but he's denied the right to earn as much as he can simply because it doesn't fit their agenda.
    **** the UFC.

Er....hasn't M-1 already came out and said it was nonsense? Why would M-1 and Strikeforce be talking about a new deal, after Fedor has fought only one fight of a MULTI-FIGHT DEAL signed at the beginning of the year? And Scott Coker has said on a conference call this week that Fedor is planned back in the Summer.

But by all means let's jump to the conclusion that Zuffa are evil.

Dana specifically said that he would be negotiating any new contracts.

  14. In that case Anderson Silva should retire since hes lost more times, either that or actually fight the best in the world and not just other American UFC chumps.

I am amazed. The way you consistently add nothing to discussion after discussion on this forum is unparalleled. There is nothing rational about your posts. 4 of the last 6 of Anderson Silva's opponents were not American, and he is currently riding a 14 fight win streak.
