read this a few days back cant remember where but im sure others have read it too.

what do you think of this fight?

im not too interested in it as juan diaz imo is finished and rios is a huge, strong, powerful lightweight.

Not a bad first defense imo! HBO will jump on it, they love Diaz.

If it was 'prime' Diaz, it would have been an awesome war.... (Id still have Rios winning), but it would have been competetive.

Now its a lopsided beatdown imo.....

I'd like to see Rios face Diaz, Ali Funeka, Soto and then Katsidis.

apparently Rios has trouble making the weight so he's looking for 2-3 more fights there and he wants the other belt holders.

Diaz' preferred coffin must be on sale then.

The big difference is that Rios has a punch. The Baby Bulls punch resistance isn't what it used to be either.
But is Rios on the same level as the guys that Diaz has mixed with? Maybe even a faded Diaz could outwork Rios and keep him off balance, negating his power advantage.
Wisdom would favor Rios, but Diaz could have one more big effort left in him.

Conventional wisdom would favour Rios and with good reason. Diaz is getting wobbled by the likes of Paulie Malignaggi these days, he can't weather what Rios has to offer him. I'm not sure he could have even outfought a Rios 4-5 years ago. Rios is the real deal. He's tough as nails and hits hard. Very difficult to beat.
