ALI vs ATGs at HEAVYWEIGHT

    This has been done to death but I'll do it anyway.

    1: ALI vs dempsey: ALI wins UD: dempsey always has a chance becuase of his hitting power, but ali would outbox him.
    2: ALI vs louis:ALI wins UD. Joe louis was a great finisher but against great boxers who can move he didn't excell. billy conn? ALI wins a close UD
    3: ALI vs marciano: ALI wins UD. I like the rock BUT hes not catching a 60s ALI. no chance IMO.
    4: ALI vs Tyson : ALI wins KO12. Iron mike is a big threat to ali talent wise, the biggest threat. BUT tyson could get discouraged and that is the ONLY REASON ALI wins this one IMO.
    5: ALI vs lewis: heres the shocker, i would pick lennox lewis to win by UD here. its just a bad matchup, lewis is bigger stronger with a great Jab and defense when he took the fight seriously. Lewis by UD.
    6:ALi vs Vitali K.: Vitali seems un real. 6 7" 260 500 inch reach. BUt he doesnt move well and ALI moved better than anyone. ALI wins UD


    this just proves the point that there is NO GREATEST heavyweight, there is only the most accomplished heavyweight. styles make fights. oh and take ALI out of this discussion and a prime 1919-23 dempsey beats them
    all just not ALI. dempsey-louis would also be a toss up.

    The same Lennox that couldn't convincingly beat a 187 year old Evander Holyfield?
    Or the Lennox that got KOed with 1 punch by McCall?
    Or the Lennox that got KOed with 1 punch by Rahman?

    Which 1 exactly?

    its all in the matchup. lennox would have been a nightmare for ALI. if you cant see that well then yoou're being biased.

    OH AND i dont get the lennox hate. guy beat EVERYBODY from his era that was willing(riddick bowe) to fight him. People always assume older fighters are automatically better. not always true. Lennox should get more respect, he had weaknesses but i think he beats ALI. a SERIOUS prime lennox lewis outboxes and outmuscles ALI for a UD.

    how is he going to outbox Ali?
    Lewis's jab really wasn't that good. It was inconsistent. Ali was faster. Ali had greater movement and skills. I don't see how Lewis takes it at all ...

    If you can't see that Ali would have been a nightmare for Lennox Lewis as well,then you're being biased.

    Where's the Lennox Lewis hate that you speak of?Fact is Lennox was knocked the **** out by one C+ heavy and stopped by another one.That NEVER happened to Ali.And btw,Lennox didn't have the workrate,stamina or speed to keep up with Ali.

    Actually with all due respect,McCall quit in the 2nd fight because of his drug relapse.Lewis blasted him after he quit and he didn't even blink.Btw,did you see Mumham edge Leinster in Thomond yesterday?

    Lennox got KOed easily by Rahman (whether you like it or nor).


    And since when did Lennox "DESTROY" McCall in the rematch?

    From what I recall, McCall started crying and the fight was stopped.

    as i said lennox could get lazy in the ring BUT NEVER against fighters he took seriously. the rahman loss was all about lennox being lazy. the guy was great and his jab was great and right hand. ALI never dealt with anybody with a jab as good or better than his. except for holmes. ALI wasn't invincible, nobody is. ALI got knocked on his ass by subpar fighters didn't he? ALI had a better chin obviously. just saying you are showing a clear bias here. ALI beats every heavyweight in his prime except for 2, HOLMES AND LEWIS. and for the same reasons. i dont ALI could handle a BIGGER fighter with a better JAB.
