Lewis had a better jab than Ali:lol::lol:?I'm showing bias here?:lol:Ever hear of the saying the pot calling the kettle black?:lol:Lewis was KNOCKED THE **** OUT by Rahman and stopped by McCall.Allow me to remind you.In over 50 professional fights, that NEVER happened to Ali.But if you want to believe prime Lewis would have beaten prime Ali,be my guest:lol:

No. Ali's kryptonite was swarmers like Frazier, Marciano, Dempsey, or Tyson. Pressure fighters. Not tall fighters with a good jab. He's faced fighters like that before and beaten them; Bugner, Terrell, Al Blue Lewis, etc. While not at the caliber at lewis, it's clear that wasn't Ali's kryptonite. He might give trouble to Ali, but he wont beat him. Ali will have too much speed, movement, and just brilliance to get beat by Lewis. Ali takes a decision or late stoppage.

    I agree with PhillyPhan69

Exactly what makes you say "bigger, taller with a great jab is Ali's kyrptonite"

George Foreman was bigger with a great jab - Ali TKO8
Sonny Liston was bigger with a great jab - Ali KO1

Yeah, very good argument you got there

You instantly lose ALL credibility when you shamelessly take Ali's best fight and compare it to Lennox's worst. How about we take the Ali who couldn't get the better of Ken Norton over 3 fights, and match him against the Lewis who cleaned house on David Tua?

Or what about we take the Ali whose trainer felt compelled to cheat by giving him smelling salts to avoid a KO defeat by sub-200 pound Henry Cooper, and match him against the Lennox who dominated Ruddock and brutally stopped him in 2 rounds, something that Tyson was unable to do in two attempts?

You laugh at Lennox for losing by one-punch KO to McCall and Rahman, but you fail to consider that first, Ali never demonstrated that kind of one-punch power, he usually didn't even sit down on his punches, and second, that one-shot KO is the ONLY proven way to defeat Lennox Lewis.

Lewis is markedly bigger than Ali. He has tremendous boxing skill, he has big power, and he is patient, with tremendous ring intelligence. He won't get sucked in by Ali's mind games.

I don't say that Lennox DOES beat Ali. I don't even say that he beats him more times than not. But Lennox CAN beat Ali, believe it. Ali is not an invincible superman. Lennox is an undisputed HW ATG with a combination of excellent ring intelligence, technique and SIGNIFICANT size advantage over both Ali AND any opponent Ali ever faced. If you say that Lennox has NO CHANCE and that Ali beats him EVERY TIME then it is you who doesn't know **** about boxing and is talking out of his ass. :patsch

What about Fat Willie Meehan? He was a ****ing animal! :yep

Fat Willie dominated Dempsey for 4 rounds of embarrassment just 10 months before his absolute Peak against fat, 3 years rusted, 37 year old Willard! :scaredas:

    This content is protected

Fat Willie is immortal for 4 rounds, he out-boxes Ali with his awkwardness, catches Lewis with a lucky punch, frustrates Tyson since his bombs make no impression on him...

Foreman had a great jab in his second career, but in the Rumble he was an arrogant undefeated champion who thought he would easily crush an old, faded legend. He barely used the jab at all and was content to throw wide power punches until he gassed out and got stopped.

He didn't need the jab, in fairness.

Can't put it much clearer than that. He even types LOL like a teenage girl and provides a smiley to show just how ridiculous he considers the idea of Ali losing to universally-acclaimed top-5 HW ATG Lennox Lewis. :patsch

He sure as **** could have used a tremendous jab in the Rumble. He needed it against Ali, but where was it? It had become neglected because of Foreman's arrogance based on the ease of his domination. Maybe if he used it to set up his attacks instead of acting like he was working a heavybag, he wouldn't have gotten played for a chump so bad. :good

    Are you mad?

Ali would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER lose to Lennox Lewis.

Take Lewis' best performance and match him up with Ali of the Williams fight....

Ali would make him look stupid. Lewis does NOT have the handspeed to deal with Ali. Lennox does not have the foot speed to deal with Ali. Lennox does not have to power to KO Ali (if Foreman, Liston, Frazier and Moore couldn't - Lewis wouldn't). And finally, Lewis does not have the overall skills and ring smarts to out-point Ali.

So, how exactly can Lennox win?

    I thought so.
