    This!

MMA fans are seemingly laughing at us. Our boxers (washed up hasbeens) are heading to MMA and are not fairing well. I'd love for one of their champs to come over and get his arse handed to him by a 5 fights novice! Plus it'll certainly make Prizefighter more interesting.

It's like asking a cricketer to play golf. The two games involve balls. But the concept is totally different. Asking a top level cricketer to play golf makes a mockery of the two sports. Same applies with boxing and mma. Let them laugh. I laugh every time to grown men grapple on the floor noses and faces buried in each others arse and groin area!

    They really aren't.

Toney-Couture is the only major crossover fight in the US since the first UFC. It was a fight, people had fun seeing their guy beat the outside boxer and then they got on with their lives.

Its a certain group of boxing fans that don't seem able to let go and just accept that the two sports are very different and have to coexist.

Georges St Pierre battered Josh Koshcheck recently using the basic jab. Fair enough the gloves are a lot smaller but Koshcheck didn't have a clue how to deal with it. MMA fighters in a boxing ring would have problems big time. As has been said before, 2 different sports altogether. Having said that I'd still watch it!!

To be fair that was more a case of couple of hard jabs in the first round breaking the poor guy's orbital bone. He quite clearly couldn't see those jabs coming as the fight progressed.
