why are GBP promoting morales-maidana like a superfight?

I actually think Morales can and probably will win via UD.

Then GBP will set up Khan -v- Morales down the road and Khan will put the final nail on Morales career, I think Khan v Morales will be more one sided than Khan v Barerra.

If Amir, with his speed, youth and power struggled that much with Maidana, then Morales has no chance.

Even with 2 massive body shots, Maidana came back.

Khan does not have the experience of Morales

 

Look at how well Limond did in the first 4 rounds v Morales, with all the variables in Morales' favour - that is all you need to know about this one

 

only coz he was mentioned as a potential opponent around the time he fought Ortiz

 

So did MAB, when he fought Khan. We all know what happened there. Morales isn't the fighter he was. He got outboxed by Willie fookin' Limond till the knockout. Limond was schooling him. Where did the experience count in that?

 

Yeah a headclash early in the bout that shouldn't of been allowed to go on but Mr. ''Put it under my bed'' Parris allowed the fight to go beyond the alloted rounds for Khan to pick up a hollow TD....

Agree with you on Morales but stop counting the Barrera fight like it was a victory for Khan it's a hollow one against a shot lower weight legend. Can't even call it a fight....it was embarrassingly blatant what was allowed to happen. Fight should of been stopped as soon as cut happened.

 

When have I ever considered the MAB fight a victory for Khan? It's obvious Barrera was nothing compared to what he was in his prime.

I've actually never ever brang up that win whenever comparing Amir's wins. I may be a fan of Amir, but I know that fight told us nothing on where Amir was in levels. The fight was a mere way to make a lot of cash and bring Amir's name up to scratch.

Yeha your right it didn't tell us nothing. Khan looked nervous as **** and the celebration at the end was of relief when he let the roar out but it's not the sorta example i'd use for why Maidana would beat Morales even though your right i think Maidana will win. I'm sure there's a lot better examples then Khan vs MAB.

 

The experience Morales had showed against Limmond because he paced himself and picked his shots, He totally canned Limmond with his body shots.

Limmond was never stopped in such a brutal fashion, Although Khan did break Limmonds Jaw the experienced Morales took Limmond out at the right time.

I would like to see Khan -V- McCloskey then Khan -V- Bradley, then Khan -v- Morales/Marquez.

 

It was the biggest fight of Khans career against MAB, Loose and his career was over, He dominated MAB from the opening to the closing bell. I give him credit for stepping into the ring with MAB since he was knocked out a few fights before against Prescott.

 

What I'm trying to say is, experience for both of them doesn't count at this stage. As Ian Darke said on the night when the stats came up for Barrera and Khan:

That's the case for both Morales and Barrera. Their top-class experience means nothing at this stage, and that's why Amir beating Barrera, and Maidana beating Morales would suggest absolutely nothing in terms of what level they are at compared to the opponent they have just faced because both were/are shadows of their former selves.
