If V. Klitschko retires as WBC Heavyweight Champion, how will W. Klitschko unify?

Assuming that Vitali Klitschko retires as the WBC Heavyweight Champion after a couple of more fights, what will K2 do to ensure that Wladimir Klitschko unifies and becomes the undisputed Heavyweight Champion?

Will the WBC hold an eliminator, in which Wladimir will have a guaranteed spot?

Or will Vitali and Wladimir finally face each other for all of the marbles? (This is a long shot, but the biggest fight that could be made in the heavyweight division after Haye.)

Or will it be something else?

Given how careful K2 has been, I can't imagine them not angling for this.

Thoughts?

 

they'll pick the most mexican fighters to fight an eliminator for the WBC belt until k2 offers up a big enough sum that ol Jose can't resist.

 

If all was well with the world, the WBC would hold a four man tourney (two bouts and the two winners meet) for the vacant trinket.


If they didn't appear willing to do that, then assuming Vitali still has the title, he could 'arrange' a loss to little brother in his final outing, a unification bout.

 

Is it too obvious to say "by beating who ever wins the title when he retires?"

 

thats what would happen a softy would win the title and have 3 months of fame before Wlad would give them their retirement fund and beating

 

The "easiest" way to hand the belt to Wlad would be for Vitali to lose in a voluntary title defense to some random bum and then Wlad to enforce a K2 rematch option with that bum.

 

K2 could position Ustinov to grab the belt, then sacrifice their own to unify with Wlad.

 

Vitali would not take a dive, that is out of the question.

 

I looked at the WBC rankings the other day and we are guaranteed a **** fight for the Vacant belt. It is pathetic. I mean they have Chauncy Welliver ranked #10 for christ sakes!!!!

 

What about the WBA? They are making Haye their super champ so a regular champ bout can be held. When Wlad stops Haye will he not still have to deal with the WBA's regular champ? Good luck with Wlad ever unifying. It looks like the boxing public does not want that to ever happen.

 

In that scenario the "Regular" WBA Champion would not have a claim to ****....

Wlad isn't ranked by either the WBC or the WBA so the chances of him getting his hands on either belt will be slim.

The unfortunate bull**** politics of the orgs will stump him.

 

Boxing Orgs. are crooked as a dog's hind leg.......................It's a shame that the best can't fight the best anymore.............

 

I hope the WBC does "the right thing" and puts their vacant belt up at Wlad's next defence, or at least held a tourney for the vacant belt. But I'm afraid the above will happen, or anything like it.
