I love this anecdote of JohnGarfield's about meeting Graziano (This had to be hilarious to see): http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4288437&postcount=3
Some people might laugh, but this man had a taste for blood that a lot of people forget because he smiled a lot...then got rich and unmotivated This content is protected
I won't laugh. When the going got hot, de la Hoya was not a nice guy... threw punches with mean intentions and had a nasty streak.
there are some weird ass quotes from that era hoya about painting the ring in chavez's blood and laughing.... creepy
Frazier was indeed fearless but I can't consider him the most ferocious. Does anybody remember him pulling up after hitting Bugner with a hook and then stepping back while Bugner slowly fell? A truly ferocious fighter would have followed up with another devastating shot. Foreman would have freaking decapitated Bugner in that situation. He also backed off a cut up and beaten Quarry in their second fight and asked referee Joe Louis to stop it. I admired Smoke for those actions.
Yes jg's account of meeting Rocky Graziano was hilarious. there can never be a Rocky Graziano again. They threw away the mould...The most exciting fighter i ever saw ,pre-Zale....
Dempsey - Tyson - Benn John L. Sullivan from the old-timers. Frazier was the most ferocious in the second half of a 15 rounder.
