What a load of bull****. He was the man back then and you know it but you pick fighters out of the air that he apparently should have fought :nut

I'd love to hear who he dodged at 160-175 I really would. No-one ever said he was unbeatable either, just very hard to beat. Guess it still tickles your vagina that Jones was the fighter of the decade back then :yep

However it has to be pointed out that you claimed that VITLAY has an iron chin on the strength of him not being flattened by a series of bums yet quit before he got KO'd and saved by the doctor in the only 2 significant fights he ever had  Yet you bash on Jones for his comp level? Really? Sad state of affairs.

Double standards are always a giggle, thanks for displaying them.

read post #30 in this thread for an answer. Jones only had like 6 fights total at Super Middleweight for ****s sake and he NEVER fought a guy who could punch and put pressure at 160 or 168. He also NEVER beat a undisputed, unified, or linear champion in his whole career. :deal

He couldn't even do anything to Wlad who you say has a Glass Jaw but he was going to KO Vitali? After the Mitch Green stuff I seriously think you need a psychiatric evaluation are you bi-polar or something? :rofl:patsch

You seriously have some pent up anger in you good lord.

RJJ is the best MW and SMW to ever walk the planet, and second place isn't that close.

Tommy Hearns' peak was at 154. But even a heavier version of Tommy I find difficult for anyone to outbox, go toe to toe he's still dangerous, but obviously not as effective as he was. I love RJ, I think he's one of the greatest ever, but let's be real. He didn't stay very long or do very much at 160 to even claim he was one of the best there. He got beat by Frankie Liles and McClellan in the amateurs, I'm sure RJ would beat them in the pros, but not as easily as people think. 160 RJ has chances to beat anyone, but I'm not too sure. To me Hagler and Monzon are the greatest at 160 until proven otherwise. RJ had problems with Griffin before sparking him out, even though it was at 175, Hagler would be bad news for RJ stylewise. Monzon liked to play possum and look slow and then he would explode and have very underrated power. I'd still pick Monzon over RJ.

Mike McCallum himself said after fighting Roy that Hearns had the best chance to beat Jones.

Good post, except Hill only lost that fight by a round or two. Same as his fight with Michalczewski, the only 2 times he lost at his best.

RJJ has a glass jaw and that eliminates him from being the best or assuming he would beat any of the greats END OF STORY.

Nah...but under the right circumstances Id pick him over just about every middleweight there has been and probably will ever be.

Hagler was a hell of a fighter as was Monzon.I would pick either to beat Roy.I think Roy would have had his hands full with a prime McCalum as well. The division at the time of Hagler and Hearns was stronger and Jones would have had to take hard fights to even get a shot at the title.I dont think Jones would have done as well as people might think.

Hearns's chin wasn't exactly granite either, especially at 160.
