am i not entitled to my own opinion in my eyes billy is the best trainer in the world so **** you :good
Yeh Lance give it a rest mate. If Murray had it in him to box like Mayweather he would. Gallagher has taken a fairly limited fighter and got him to 32-0 European, British champion, ranked by the Ring and No.2 with the WBC. Gallagher is a good trainer, but over protective. be nice to see him at world level he should get at least 1 shot this year.
:goodAll good Jeff. Totally agree mate. They got away with it saturday but could so easily of all gone tits up. Dont imagine Joe bein to happy with Frank for that one:-( When you back in the ring ?
What is all this "going in blind, never seen him fight" ? The Spaniard is on You Tube knocking a guy out, are you telling me they did not look on You Tube when the European Title is at stake, the guy is on there training and fighting, I guess it does sound unprofessional or smacking of over confidence, he has also been knocked out a few times by lesser fighters then Murray, they said "they had heard he had a good left hook " that was evident on the you tube clip, but Murray got hit with it straight from the off several times. Murray can't rely on his toughness and non stop attack with no defence much longer.
not as blatent as this tit though, i cringe every time he posts ("Joe Gallagher the best trainer in the world") :rofl
It was annoying the **** out of me when he kept switching to southpaw on saturday. Does not suit his style at all.
As you know i'm a big john Murray fan but he looked awful at times on saturday- I'd be very suprised if he wasn't carrying an injury, or something didn't go wrong in training at some stage. He looked like he had either peaked too early or not peaked at all. He'll still be a champion- he's had bad perfromances before and rebounded strongly. I'd like him to fight Mitchell first- it makes more sense now.
Every trainer has different strengths, no one knows it all, 90% of the time it all boils down to the relationship between fighter & trainer, a trainer prepares you as best as he can and tells you as much as he can but in the end it all comes down to the FIGHTER!! No trainer ever got in the ring and actually won you the fight, he encourages you yes and he gets in your head but ultimately it all depends on 1 guy, THE FIGHTER.. He is the one who bleeds, sweats, hurts and works!! All this nonsense of who is the best is BS, how can you say 1 is better than the other??
As poor as Murray looked I agree with BB & BB, he was a bad awkward match with upset all over him. Seems strange that Powell would have picked this guy when Murray is 1 or 2 fights of a world title. Murray's had enough hard fights there was really no need for this one and I don't think anyone would have argued if Murray was matched with a 5 round gimmie. On the plus side he's got rid of his ring inactivity and had his wake up call, Mitchell might underrate him and he it's another win. Billy Nelson's still the best trainer in the world though :hi:
You also gotta remember that Murray is STILL champion and while he had an off night it's a great sign that he can still win so clearly...
The reality is that a guy who has a genuince chance of winning the world title should be annihilating opponents like that.
