    Reasoning?

    Reasoning?

Love it...but Yuh outclassed De Marco in 95% of the exchanges. Fairly one-sided fight really.

Semi trolling, but let's be honest: their first fight was an either way affair and Williams was outboxing Sergio before he landed that shot. It's more of an outcry against the raging hype Martinez is generating of late. People have short memories.

Better resume, more dominant against his peers and looks better h2h in his weight class than any that Manny has in his.

To some extent it was one sided, but the threat that De Marco would overwhelm him with activity remained there pretty much right to the very end, and he actually started winning some sounds towards the fight's end before Yuh roared back.

I don't think it was any more one sided than fights like Pryor-Arguello which is a staple top 10 fight.

I don't know who the purists are, I just think the way the fight looks it was fixed. Blatantly and badly fixed. Of course, the "less controversial" versions have Duran suffering from a mystery stomach ache, or Leonard making him quit with the clever use of show-boating !
I suppose people need to sugar coat it.

Well, it's a CONTROVERSIAL opinion, I noted that. Hence me mentioning it on this thread.

I followed Duran and Leonard's careers. They were great fighters. It's just I can think of at least 20 fighters right of the top of my head who were greater pound-for-pound.

Ali vs Frazier III was a one sided fight, no where near as exciting as it is made up to be.

Fenech destroys Pacquiao by brutal KO at super bantam and featherweight.

Weaver vs Coetzee is the greatest HW title fight ever.

Lennox Lewis is not a top 10 heavyweight let alone top 15.

British MW Tony Sibson knocks out Hearns at middleweight

Sibson could well have done an 'Iran Barkely' on Hearns.

Seriously? Martinez was countering Williams silly until the KO came. He must have landed his lead left hand 2-3 times already in round 2.

You think Saldivar has a better resume than Manny? Where do you rank Saldivar all-time?

    Fair point. :good

Yeah, and about 300 times in fight one. Did you notice Williams land a couple in fight 2?

Yeah, I don't think that highly of Marquez, Barrera or Morales, nor Hatton, Cotto or a shot DLH. Give me Laguna, Famechon, Winstone, Legra, Ramos & Seki over that bunch any day.

Saldivar is around about the 30 mark for me.

I think maybe all three of these fighters beat Saldivar at FW in a 12 round fight. :think
