Why Detroit if they had had the fight in St Louis they could of probably sold out a good venue of about 12.000 i reckon...

For whatever reason the owner of the stadium in Detroit put up a $600k fee.

But surely with that attendance there must of been alot more than 2000 tickets sold?

You might be surprised by how many tickets are actually sold at fights:

Darchinyan vs Agbeko - 11,772 attended, 757 paid.
Berto vs Quintana - 3,508 attended, 972 paid.
Williams vs Cintron - 3,653 attended, 2,442 paid.

if its at casino then most people in there will be on the free but i cant see the incentive to give away so many free tickets to a stadium fight? maybe a face saving measure

    HBO pay-per-view
    Fight Buys Revenue
    Pacquiao-Clottey 700,000 $35.3 million
    Mayweather-Mosley 1,400,000 $78.3 million

Mayweather brings in some serious wedge.... Just took that of your site Wallet inspector, good read.
