James toney ruined sam peter

    Over on the site that hypes fight he is saying he ruined sam peter:patsch
    come on man i love toney but this **** has got to stop some of the stuff lately coming out his mouth is just stupid

    Peter beating Toney against the ropes for 24 rounds hurt Peter's hands beyond repair.

    Toney has a claim that he beat Peter in the first fight but Peter did well to win the rematch. Both are closer than people remember and in no way did Peter clearly win the first match. Toney is punchdrunk and I blame the shady,greedy figures in boxing that guys like him can fight on. It should've been a crime to allow Ali to continue on fighting Holmes & Berbick too. I love Toney too but it's time for him to call it a career and retire with the rest of his health decent.

    James Toney has only himself to blame for not hanging it up, especially that UFC debacle. Dana White said it best himself when being asked who talked Toney into doing that, "Toney talked himself into it."

    The shady greedy guy's in boxing didn't put a gun to Toney's head and force him to fight , that's on him:deal he's been punchdrunk since the Jirov fight nearly 10 years ago...
    BTW TONEY Lost both fight's with Peter the 2nd one was an ass kicking...

    toney didnt ruin anybody except himself in boxing ever :rofl

    sure Peter sems to be past his prime but he lost by KO to helenius mostly because being overweight even for himself

    I guess he just lost the 'drive' to achieve anything else in boxing, he is not hungry anymore,

    he just go out for cash and will go out again probably for the same reason

    Toney still has enough left in his tank to make another run at the title.Do not write him off. I would like him to face Vitali after taking a few tune ups.

    a few tune ups and he would be even more shot people like adamek and areola i think he has a chance of beating but vitali no chance as much i would like him to i cant see it happening.

    Well no, he needs to lose weight and shake off the ring rust. Vitali is 40 years and does not like slick boxers like you could see against byrd.I am sur Toney will do well against him

    even if he sestroyed peter he wouldnt ruin him because there wasnt/isnt much to ruin in the first place.

    You might be right if he didn't have to fight Wlad, Vitali & Haye to get a title. At this point he's not much more than cannon fodder & a good name on the resumé. I rated Toney highly too, just not at Heavyweight.

    I really liked toneys boxiing skill but his mouth makes me want to see him in with a klitsko just so they can shut him up. or haye please one of you give him a shot to beat his ass.
